I’m sure they will say Vaughn has tired legs again soon

All right, now we just need an on-side kick and  TD

All that for a split and no ground gained.  Can't wait to get scolded again for not being excited about this mediocrity.

  • This is a great call. Rick, if you're listening, you should absolutely cut a 27 year old that is owed 42 million over the next two seasons, this will greatly improve the Sox chances of winning a World

Sure would be nice to see Eloy “Hi Mom” one skyward.

No reason to make the game fucking interesting Vaughn,  This offense is just damn atrocious.  I do not remember seeing any team hit into so many double plays.

He continues to swing at everything. Really, really hope they use him as trade bait.

I’m not here to dunk on the team for losing the last two. At least the boys are trying. I still believe that moves should have been made for next year instead of this year.

I'm just glad they're trying too! Yay!

Just because it's what I do, the White Sox are actually 8th in MLB in double plays grounded into per game. Potential playoff teams that have hit into more include Torotno, Minnesota, and Milwaukee.

Folks want to convince me to turn the page on Abreu for Vaughn. Nope.

Jose is due.

Jose was clearly not due.

Time to bring in Moncada to hitting second.  He is faster and less prone to the DP and to clogging up the bases when he gets on.  Vaughn hits too many ground balls and is too slow.  Move him down the order.

Not even close, Jose is much better than Vaughn and even faster runner..

That statistic is shocking to me, and thanks for the info.

Is there a reason that this dumbass is always tweeting that the Sox are in business? Fucking moron

Booo should have left VV out to dry and then DFA'd him after the game.  Dude sucks.  Let him eat these innings.

Merkin is the absolute worst.  Actually just despise the guy.

Sox will finish with 82 wins and the difference will be that they didn't bring in 2-3 WAR regulars at RF and 2B, like everybody fucking begged.

Vince was a great pickup. Home for the fringe and injured.

Would have rather kept Foster and send VV down instead.

I would argue that Giolito going from above average to below average made just as big of an impact

Right on.  We wasted a lot of good pitching with bad offense and defense

LOL, how dare they not plan for an 84 -85 win season.

Technically more if they were getting negative WAR from the position, which I'm assuming is lower than -1. But it also doesn't exactly equal Wins.

Giolito did affect but every 5 games, the 2 nd base and RF holes affected every game as position players.  We also had Keuchel sucking at the beginning of the season.there were a myriad of bad factors.

Smart FOs never assume that on whole the squad will play to their projections. They work night and day to cover worst case scenarios because this is real life, not a projection. The Sox just assumed Eloy would put up 5 WAR, Moncada would stay healthy, Robert was a 7 WAR MVP and so on and on and on.

Well guess what -- if they had planned for a scenario like this they'd still be in a great position. But, a failure to plan results in failure usually.

So all we need is 9 to tie against the Assblows in three innings… to tie it.

Easy!!

They might not score 9 runs in the next 30 innings
