Pollock has sucked this year, but hasn’t he been pretty clutch?

There's 0 reason to not be in front of the ball there

  • It's nice to know Reese McGuire can have a future in the booth after his mlb career is over.

  • Engel is on this team for 2 reasons, his baserunning and his defense. He has been atrocious at both. Please dont come back next year

Pollock vs LHP: 176 wRC+ .984 OPS

Pollock vs RHP: 65 wRC+ .578 OPS

Continue putting players in position to fail, and these are the outcomes you deserve to get

Take the back up slider but swing at the good one...ugh.

Siiiiigh

i hate this fucking offense

Pulled off horribly.  Simply awful at bat.

Pollock just hurt his hand on that swing.

What a frustrating team

Baseball is so boring when guys strike out this much. Whiff.

They are just saving the heroics for the top of the 9th.

Yeah, I’d like to retract that clutch statement…lol

What drives me nuts is these guys have no game plan.  Why was that the at bat he tried to pull the ball, despite knowing he was going to see sliders.

Whoever went to bed because they didn't want to watch another 3-2 game is awfully optimistic about this offense.

Oh darn

The approach with runners in scoring position is just horrid. It's like they turn off their brains at the worst moments.

Why wouldn't they throw it at Gavin's eyes, he has already proven he'll swing.

I can't believe Jason and Gordon called that 3-1 pitch a cookie. It wasn't. It was a bullet at Gavin's eyes.

Bet you anything we give up a run in the 8th before scoring one in the 9th

How dare the pitcher not throw fastballs right down the middle!!

It's almost like they have a shitty hitting coach.

I'm guessing Pollock's plan was take until he gets a strike and then cheat fastball.

Ump has been killing us on balls and strikes all night

It's fitting the Sox also get the worst outcomes in baseball on fastballs right down the middle, too. Just really emphasizes how broken their approach is in every way possible.

Yeah, but not when he has no shot of touching the pitcher he's facing.
