I think I’d pull cease. Is he chasing anything (scoreless streak?)

How bad a season Moncada has had?

This 5 for 5 2 HR performance only moved his OPS to .626

At least it's over .600. This game probably means he'll finish the season above .200.

Nope, he’s done I’m sure. Is that 6 hits in his last 23 innings?

Still puts him into like fourth best OPS on the team

I would have pulled him after 5. The rest of this game is meaningless.

Oh he was at 95 pitches anyway yeah not a hard decision

Romy and Yoan sitting next to each other. They have half of the Sox hits lol

I guess lowering his ERA.

This has even an unbelievable game.  Even Vaughn just  made a good catch in RF.

Why is Eloy still hitting?

Laugher of the night: Benetti saying that the As are making some defensive replacements in a 14-0 game.

I like Cairo in the Southside hoodie for some reason LaRussa in the full uniform annoys me, of many things he does.

tonyB

Engel has lost his defensive swagger

Wow, Engel is just unplayable at this point.

Cairo was a better player than LaRussa ever was, so he looks the part.

Cease should be at 6 bWAR at the end of the night. He's 1.2 WAR ahead of Verlander.

He's still .7 fWAR behind Verlander though.

I dunno, I feel like Tony’s grandmotherly, pear-shaped frame fills out that swaggy Southsider uni real nice

Is Romy any good? Is he for real?

Can Romy be this teams every day 2B?

He looks like he can be a good enough hitter and has legit pop in his bat. And he is only 26, just coming in to his prime years physically. The question is can he be an above average fielder?

He’s turned into 2015 Arrieta. Every game you feel he has a shot at a no-hitter, and you’re surprised if he gives up more than one run in a game.

2023 World Series Champ White Sox confirmed

TD White Sox!

Here's the way I see it. Weird managerial decisions aside, Tony just doesn't have energy. He's at an age here this job is taking such a big fucking toll on him that his doctors have temporarily taken him away from it to run (heart?) tests.

Objectively, he should just retire for health reasons, because if doctors tell a 77-year-old man that his job is causing so much stress that it's detrimental to his health, f***, just quit.

Since 2020, this team has shown that it feeds off each others' energy. With Tony in there, the energy just isn't there when he's napping in the dugout or leaving pitchers in when they're gassed. Tony may have the best intentions and think he can come back, but this team is playing well cause they look like they're having fun, despite what Mark DeRosa thinks.

exactly, maybe he brought some "Intangible" s%*# at one point last year, time moves on and he's objectively bad at a million other things. the pixie dust is out the bottle. the sox always seem to over play their hands, on manager or players or whoever remains "loyal", the lowest of the virtues for a reason.

Yoan going for 6-6.
