The more I look at Segura, the more he reminds me of a slightly better version of Josh Harrison. And I don't like that...

He missed a ton of time last year and was still pacing out to be a ~3 win player. The Sox haven't had a 2nd basemen like that in almost 20 years. Sign me up for that given how putrid the alternatives are right now.

What were the Giants thinking?? He might accept and then they'll be stuck with an ace on 1 year deal.

Madrigal will be coming home soon.  Rejoice and be glad.

The organization does not like Madrgial and was trying to deal him for a while leading up to the Kimbrel trade.  He will not be back.

Those so-called Insiders would be better off if they read this board.

They do read this board.  Saw one of them steal a post of mine just yesterday.

Where do you think they get most of their ideas?

poppy is right...Nick is planning on coming home to visit his family for the Holidays.  Oh wait, I think he means Nicky 2 strikes is coming back to the White Sox.  Never mind, Bob is right.

They don't have anyone more interesting they can play? Not even like a DFA claim?

Owners cried poor during the lockout but just can’t help themselves in FA.  A story as old as time.

Good move for the Cubs, they are starting to look competitive in the NL Central

Projected 2023 fWAR

  • Swanson 3.3
  • Taillon 2.0
  • Bellinger 1.9
  • Barnhart 0.9

They grab a decent starter, perhaps another 1B and utility guy and they should definitely be in the NL Central mix, but still pieces away from legitimate WS contention.

Wish the Sox had ownership willing to DFA deadweight (Heyward’s last contract year) and still spend in Free Agency.

Not so with the Madrigal and McCann rumors.  I don't think those two came from SoxTalk.

Is Wil Myers the guy who got hit in the head by a fly ball in the playoffs?

Bad day for the 2015 Royals
