  • Working on it but I think this burner is correct.

  • So what are the odds we are giving that whomever we sign the white sox will be their last team before retirement?

  • There is really only one alternative in resolving this position and his name is Benintendi. The guy is a gold glove LF, who hits for average and gets on base. He is far superior to Joey Gallo (the str

I like this. But now we have unhappy Eloy DHing. He always said he would not be happy in that role. Can he adjust to that mindset and be mentally prepared to just hit?

Who cares about Eloys feelings. He’s lost that luxury. If he wants to get another decent contract after this one, he needs to hit.

That trade would be awful. Giving up an elite closer for 2 mediocre players.

I’ll take mediocre over bad. We need our real core guys to play 140+ games each and play like the stars they were paid to be.

An outfield of Benintendi, Robert and Colas should be sufficient power wise.  Not great, but good enough.

Class will be a rookie and an unknown. Robert has to actually hit for consistent power first before it becomes a given. Those three would be last in baseball in terms of power outlook.

I agree, fwiw.

Literally the best #2 hitter they can get on the market that is Lefty. Robert in the 3 hole will be a MONSTER with TA and Beni setting the table.

How is Jansen mediocre?  Huge power last year.  15 homers in 248 at bats last year makes him look like Mike Piazza on the Sox.

Ok maybe mediocre is harsh in Jansen’s case, but I would still want someone better than him if Hendriks is being shipped away.

No reason to think those three couldn’t combine for 50 homers. You would think that would be average around the majors.

He needs to stay on the field, which he's proven he can't do if he plays the OF.  It is that simple.

Hopefully Robert hits for a fuckton more power with Menechino gone.  Zero excuse for him not to be a 25 to 30 HR guy IMO.

Now imagine if Moncada bounces back. He essentially is your 6-spot hitter.

Fix those launch angles and a few guys should be 25-30 HR guys.

No. He won’t. Calm down boy.

Really, why would I be mad ? But I think some people might be very upset if they traded for Outman  and stuck him and Colas in the OF on opening day.

  1. TA
  2. Benintendi
  3. Robert
  4. Eloy
  5. AV
  6. Moncada
  7. Jansen/Yaz/Seby
  8. Biggio
  9. Colas

I think I could live with that.

50 home runs out of an outfield would have been 26th in baseball last year.

And sadly an improvement from 2022!

Looks to be clinging on to hope for an Outman deal.

Benintendi and Outman would be a good thing.

Yup, the raw power is there for several guys…just need to relearn on how best to harness it

Well as of now the White Sox are shown by Fangraphs with 79 OF home runs last year. I do think they're counting Eloy's full total in that, if you drop those where he was DH out then they're at 68.

Getting Jansen, who is from Elmhurst, would have the extra added attraction of Benetti constantly reminding us where he is from.

I assume you’re looking at outfield totals and not starting LF/CF/RF

I'm shocked we haven't acquired Nicky Lopez yet.
