February 19, 20233 yr So much for all the fluff stories this past week about how "great" Romy looks. ? Edited February 19, 20233 yr by Lip Man 1
February 19, 20233 yr Very good news. Played great last year, insurance at short in case Tim gets injured, cheap $$. Let the bitching commence! Edited February 19, 20233 yr by XplodingScorbord
February 19, 20233 yr I like it. He will be good in the clubhouse also. He will be better than Harrison was
February 19, 20233 yr Nice insurance move on the cheap, buys some time for Sosa and Popeye. I wonder how mad will everyone be when 2018-2022 pre-Sox Andrus shows up and can't hit.

February 19, 20233 yr At the very least he should be a plus defender, just don't count on the fluke offense
February 19, 20233 yr Author the one redeeming thing is its only $3 million, which wouldn't cripple most organizations
February 19, 20233 yr Surprised he didn't get a shortstop gig somewhere. Loved him during his time on the South Side last year, but I really feel like "signing an aging vet to play out of position based on a six week hot streak after years of below replacement level play" is the exact kind of move Sox fans would normally drag Hahn for if Elvis wasn't so damn likeable. I do hope Romy/Sosa still get a good amount of run though. Dreaming of a world where Romy gets Leury's UTIL job...

February 19, 20233 yr Sure, why not? I’ve said several times throughout this off-season that I would take Elvis late in the game for $3M, and here we are.
