The Sox made the playoffs because they played in the weakest division in the sport.  They weren't anything special because of weak pitching.  Even with a Harper or Machado on offense.

2020 team was out of gas after 1/3 of a full season.

I hate when the Sox get a runner at 1B because I have to see Daryl Boston's face.

  • You've been judging the Sox "on paper" for the last 2+ seasons, how has that worked out for you?  The Rays could not be more different than the Sox. They pitch incredibly well (don't strike a ton

The level to which you have to suck to walk 5 White Sox in an inning is insane

Gonna be fun when Gallo hits more homers than all Sox outfielders combined.

When I look back on this year, this will be a loss that they should have won. These hurt. It makes me wonder if Hendriks would have saved this game.

The Phillies weren't anything special last year either but still made the World Series in large part because Harper went nuclear in October. That definitely could have happened here.

He strikes out a lot though so it doesn't count

I know I’m Mr. Pessimism, but Tampa tried to give the Sox a blowout and the Sox kept them in the game.

Robert kept Tampa in it

Polanco and Kepler back too...

(Somehow doubt Robert maintains his own current pace for 40ish.)

I'd like to thank my better half for asking me to do some back breaking crap in the backyard this evening so that I missed this one....sincerely.

This team stinks.

They fought today. Down 4-0 in the first to a 16-3  team and fight back. It was encouraging. Awful 9th. Sorry that offends you.

Twins look like the White Sox on defense this inning lol...yet another potential bullpen loss the way things are going.

fought... past tense, then classic Sox offense stops scoring and rests on it's laurels

It's crazy how bad Hahn is at every aspect of his job. You'd think maybe he would get lucky with a few of his FA signings... He manages to botch basically everything.

Nobody in the AL Central even deserves to go to the postseason.

Clear as day.

If the next ten days go as expected, changes need to happen with the front office

It’s better to say something basic than b**** about the FO and JR. Especially when it’s a fantasy that nobody is getting fired and the team is not being sold at the moment. I also think it’s good to add up these losses at the end of the year and see what they would do to the final standings.

If this team lost 100 games in a row I'm skeptical Jerry would change anything. Especially during the season

Holy f*** this team just finds new ways to embarrass themselves.

I was promised a "championship window" and this is what I got!? When does the owner realize there needs to be changes made starting with the GM!

Speaking of championship windows, how about Hahn and company deciding not to get another starter for 2020 when Ricky was begging for one?

I actually saw the 1st inning...went out to work when it was 4-0. Came in later to see it was 7-5 Sox and my wife said "yeah and they even left the bases loaded one inning"....as soon as she said that I sighed "oh no" and went back out to the yard.

you guys lol

just saw the box score

them losing isn't surprising

it's that they did it in such a white sox-y way that makes it hilarious

Dad is wearing out the vomiting smiley emoji this year
