12 strike outs and no walks for us

6 walks and 6 strike outs for the mariners.

This is our organizational philosophy... give up a lot of walks.. take none, strike out a lot and hit a lot of ground balls.

championship recipe for sure.

How about Grandal's walk rate:

2021: 23.2%

2022: 12.0%

2023: 7.3%

they realize that the runner gets to go to first base after a walk, right?

  • happy for Andrew. He wanted to be here, he's playing thru a hand injury, he's fine in the outfield and has more or less given professional at bats all year long

  • Never thought I’d see the day where not 1 but 2 Sox players with more plate appearances without a Hr than Nick Madrigal..

Teoscar still pwns Sox ass.

Why is Danks still in a tied game in the 7 th.?  It is fair to say though, that the Sox pitiful offense puts a lot of pressure on our pitchers.

Thinking more they aren't pitching around Yasmani as they did when he had power to fear.

Needs to find a way to have more competitive at bats on a consistent basis.  Been too many of these games this year.

Robert needs to lay off breaking pitches out of the zone, and make more contact with RISP.

TA Worst player on the field.

But in his mind remember "I'm the best player on the field..."

LOL.

As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon..."

Seriously why does TA stink? Remember looking at the box score every day and many many times TA with 2, 3 hits. Now he blows.

Not sure he'll attract much in a trade. No power. Horrific pitch recognition, always been adequate but nothing special at SS. Yikes. Rite now he's a .250 hitter with zero power and no ability to draw walks. Other than that he's Luis Aparicio.

Who is the last SOX player you really enjoyed?

Mine was Aaron Rowand

He's not even close to Aparicio who was one of the finest defensive shortstops in history and really "changed the game" by bringing back the lost art of the stolen base. He led the American League in that category for nine consecutive seasons.

TA pardon the expression, "can't make a pimple on his rear end" as my dad used to say.

Two errors on one play. Brilliant.

That was something…

Burger is a somewhat loveable big oaf. TA is snakebit at best, doesn't care at worst.

This is five losses in six games right? Wow. Sox are back to crud.

Good lord lol

DJ really laying into TA for that inexplicable throwing error.

That's a new one this season.

Two errors on the entire left side of the infield.

TA walks 3 times every 100 at bats. And Pedro keeps play him lead off….

Hope the front office is enjoying the show!

I always had a fave player I'd love/defend til this year. I have none. Not even close to a player I like on this team. Cease comes close to being likeable. Ditto Burger yet I realize Burger is horrific on D and all or nothing at the plate.

My last fave player: Abreu of course.

Worst throw of the season.

He's safe. Burger is not so talented.

Last shot at it boys . Let's go !

Wow that was CLOSE. Wish we had guys who ran that hard.
