I just don’t like anything Tanner Banks does on the field.  He might be a nice guy and all but every time I watch him pitch he gives up runs

I’m pretty sure I could hit some of these offspeed pitches

WTF happened to Jimmy Lambert?  He had a swollen ankle. Rick Hahn is an embarrassment.  Tanner Banks and Nick Padilla are the first options brought up????  We have been healthy on the pitching fr

Are you f'ing kidding me? "You don't have the answer in all candor." My god, you put this shitty flawed roster together, as well as hiring the loser manager Grifol.  Why the f*$k don't you have s

No. The Sox are huuuuuuuge outliers in the lack of production they've gotten out of 2nd base since 2005. They're 30th in fWAR at 2nd base post 2005 and *12* WAR behind the 29th ranked team.

That's the point. 29 other teams bring up a reliever for Seattle, and start a starting pitcher on Monday.

Bullpen games are fairly normal at this point, but the lack of pitching depth is still appalling

Stone lead the broadcast by saying his 92 mph fastball was almost unhittable because of deception.  He must have just forgotten the deception part

Statistically it might be…maybe throw it more than those hangers

When Tampa does it, they have a plan and a few guys who are rested and give 2-3 innings. This is a result of poor starting pitching depth and a desperation move, similar to Hahn's Game 3 plan in Oakland.

AV slugging vs LHP lower than Andrew B ?

After a while the Rangers will get tired from so much swinging.

It's a bold strategy Cotton, lets see if it pays off for em.

And because the other starters struggle to go deep into games, the pen will continue to be overused.

Wonder if they will move Eloy down when his OPS is in the 600s.

Griffol rides SPs a lot harder than most managers. The Sox are 5th in innings covered by starters.

That was a gift with 2 strikes.

and Eloy promptly hits into a tailored made DP.

Not lately, it’s been a lot of 5 inning appearances.

So sick of the hands rolling over every AB for 3/4 lineup

The few times per week Eloy actually elevates the ball are fun

Welcome to baseball in 2023

Pedro Grifail.

the double play was shocking....

also spare us with the "since 2020" stats

seems to me we have been shitty this year against left hand starters.

Gonna get worse with guys like Frazier, Sheets and Eloy in RF and Burger playing 3B regularly.

Well, at least Clint Frazier was an awesome prospect 6 years ago

Outfield looking good tonight

Ahhh Frazier....

Frazier should be next to go

Agree.

Frazier was always known for his excellent defense... not!
