This is where not having a bench hurts the team. And Sheets is going in anyway for Perez, but couldn't bat for Zavala because he doesn't hit against LHP.

They need to send Eloy to the IL and bring up an adequate OFer.

Could've put Andrus in for Zavala and moved Remillard to right.

I figured he was going to be out with Perez coming in. But no.

I'm at the game and bunch of white sox fans yelling dont let him bat when zavala came up.

Please use the quote function correctly,  I never said the 2nd paragraph you quoted me on.  I think you typed inside of the (my)quote .

Remillard has played 19 games in RF his entire life (13 starts college/minors/majors) until last week. Looks worse than Sheets out there (about Jake Lamb equivalent).

Andrus would have batted for Colas and Perez for Zavala, then Perez stays in and Sheets goes to RF, leaving no bench since Eloy is crippled. At least you have Zavala catching still, Perez is still a work in process.

If Haseley were up, he could have hit. I would have been fine having Colas hit as well.

It was odd having 3 catchers in play at once. Grandal at 3rd (DH), Perez at 1st (PH), and Zavala at bat (C).

The Why Throw Strikes White Sox

I hate Beckham. Punctures ear drums to avoid.

Lopez with a sub 2 ERA his last 20+ outings...

Another reminder of failure.  The Derek Jeter of the White Sox lol.

He's being wasted in fake high leverage innings when you should be getting stretched out to start again soon.

Don't want to risk injury, but Cease is a better hitter than a few on the team, wouldn't mind see him pinch hit in the 9th. Fear injury from Cease less than Eloy, just have him be cautious running.

Burger a few feet away from a monster game

Less than that ,it hit the orange line more like 6 inches.

At least those runs scored, nothing worse than missing a Grand Slam by that little and not scoring them.

Fuc kin' A!

LFG Boys!!

How could Alonso have ever thought that pitch was a strike it was a foot outside when he started swinging

200+ pitches by Sox staff

Good game to show that its never over until is over, and we should try to keep games closer.  By throwing in Shaw and Banks early we made the gap too big.  Last Mets two run homer hurt.

Gotta hurt being pulled for the 3rd catcher to hit for you

That’s Pedro ball. Lots of pinch hitters and pinch runners late.

I'm not going to get my hopes up but a comeback win here would be the biggest win of the season, and huge psychologically for everyone.

A cape in the middle of the summer doesn’t seem right.
