I agree Michigan should be banned but that's not happening. Michigan, Washington and Texas are in.

Florida State hasn't won yet but even if they do I think they drop to #5 and Alabama is in.

No, and if FSU's QB hadn't gotten hurt we still wouldn't, but without him FSU is clearly not one of the four best teams. Michigan is going to be #1 and if you ask them who they'd rather play they'd 100% pick FSU over Alabama.

Yep.  Really sucks for FSU but they are basically Iowa without their QB.  Hopefully the committee doesn’t repeat its mistake from last year of leaving Bama out (im assuming Michigan, Texas and Washington are all in) for a clearly inferior team.

They didn't play anyone outside of Alabama, Missouri, and Ole Miss. And they lost to the best of those 3. Sucks for them but maybe schedule harder out of conference games. Alabama did and it didn't hurt them even when they lost against Texas.

Here's the SEC's problem: they routinely schedule downright horrid non-conference schedules and rely on their mid-tier teams ending up 8-4 or 9-3 and highly ranked and then their top teams point to those as great wins. Look at the SEC teams and who they've beaten aside from each other. Missouri beat K-State and Mississippi beat Tulane and Kentucky beat Louisville and I can't find any other quality wins for the conference.

Can we really say Georgia and Alabama are clearly among the four best teams when all they did was beat a bunch of teams whose best wins are against Louisville and Kansas State? The two teams that did play top non-conference games, LSU and Alabama, lost and neither game was particularly close.

I think I read SEC went 7-9 against p5 teams OOC. FSU went 2-0 against the SEC. So yeah, rewarding the conference is stupid.

They also got every break possible in a game against an average Ga Tech team and won by single digits.

I would love to know the NIL "payrolls" for the top teams.

Yet nearly every single year the SEC Champion b**** slaps the rest of college football and wins the National Championship.

The Big Ten is Rick Hahn at the Kiddie Table. They should have been content with their Rose Bowl Circle Jerk arrangement with the PAC-10. They are primarily a basketball conference.

The universities who are reaping the rewards should be paying. But you probably didn't think of that in your rush to reply.

Texas was also up by 3 scores in 2 of those games. They can play with anyone they just take their foot off the pedal once they have a comfortable lead. I think they've kind of corrected that with how badly they destroyed Texas Tech and OSU the past 2 games.

Universities aren't the ones reaping CFB/CBB cash. The coaches, bloated athletic departments, the leeche CEOs running bowl games, and media outlets are the primary beneficiaries of the system, not the players drawing millions to watch on TV and near / above 100,000 at stadiums.

For the dozen plus lower tier bowls held solely for mid December ESPN programing purposes (The Ball Park Franks Suck My Weiner Bowl), participating universities have to buy tens of thousands of tickets nobody wants funded out of student activity fees. Only 1/3 of the bowls actually generate revenue and nearly 100% of it is captured among the "Power 5". 

Non CFP bowl games are more worthless than ever before.  Any upperclassman with NFL talent should opt out.

Once they decided they couldn't take either Alabama or Texas without taking the other...any discussion was basically over, as it became inevitable both FSU and UGA would be locked out by the weekend's results.
