December 1, 20232 yr Grab Dirden, he has good defense and some speed and I think he can hit. He was fighting for a roster spot to start the year, had some minor injuries and struggled some but I think he has some upside

December 6, 20232 yr If there is a second or third player they would like to acquire, can they DFA a rostered player during the draft, or must they do so before the draft begins? I believe the answer is no, so I would like them to DFA Remillard and possibly one other player who they can pass through waivers an reacquire for Charlotte if they want to later this offseason. Many teams pass on selections so there very well could be 2-3 players worth selecting. Edited December 6, 20232 yr by South Side Hit Men

December 6, 20232 yr Quote Shane Drohan, LHP, Red Sox Few pitchers performed as well as Drohan over the opening months of the season. He allowed just five earned runs while striking out 36 batters compared to nine walks over his first 34 innings with Double-A Portland. The lefty flashed more power on his four-seam fastball and an improved breaking ball in a reintroduced cutter. The wheels came off when he was promoted to Triple-A Worcester. Drohan produced a 6.47 ERA and 5.78 xFIP over 89 innings in 19 starts with the WooSox. Despite his late-season struggles, Drohan has improved each season as a professional and possesses an above-average changeup. In fact, his changeup ranked 19th best across the entire minor leagues in 2023 for accumulated run value. Could being a lefthander with a true major league quality changeup be enough to earn Drohan selection?
December 6, 20232 yr Write-up from Baseball America’s mid-season update where he ranked as the Red Sox’s #9 prospect Quote 9. Shane Drohan LHP Ht: 6'3" | Wt: 195 | B-T: L-L Age: null BA Grade/Risk: 50/High June Update: The lefthander was one of the best starters in the Eastern League over the early portion of the season and earned a promotion to Triple-A Worcester by mid-May. The introduction of a mid-to-high-80s cutter rounded out Drohan’s arsenal and paired nicely with his low-to-mid-90s four-seam, changeup and curveball mix. Drohan has blossomed into the Red Sox best close-to-the-majors pitching prospect, and looks like a solid back-end starter.
December 6, 20232 yr AAA Phase, White Sox select RHP Jose Ramierz from Boston https://www.milb.com/player/jose-ramirez-681459
December 6, 20232 yr Author Forgot we no longer had many lefties in the bullpen so makes sense. Sounds like he's the next keith foulke.

December 6, 20232 yr Anyway, they need to light a beacon when this guy comes out of the bullpen vs. using a phone
