Did they just get more for Trevor Rogers than Getz got for Fedde?! Two R/R hitters who are defensive liabilities wherever you put them. Vargas controls the zone better, Norby has more impact and has been better in mlb. It’s close.

Weird trade for the O’s. Is Rogers even an upgrade for them?

Even though Stowers is already turning 27 in January, it looks like the Marlins did better than Getz did with the Fedde trade.  Norby can’t play defense but neither can Vargas.  And while Roger’s has two years of control left and Fedde only has one, Fedde has been WAY better than Roger’s this season.  Getz is awful.

Every hour that goes by Getz looks like more and more of an idiot. Norby will be a 20-25 HR, 15 SB, .280 hitter with a .800 OPS for many years.

People would have rather had that return for Fedde than what we got.

 

Is Rodgers that much better than Fedde to garner such a return? Or is this just more evidence that Getz is just really really bad at this.

As weird/bad as the Fedde trade was, I still wouldn't have been happy with what Baltimore sent to Miami. 

I'd much rather have this than what we got for Fedde and Kopech. This is absolutely wild

Getz is bad at this. Rogers has injury history and has not been good since 2021... IDK what Getz or the Orioles were doing
