I could understand if they said "Starting next year, no more antenna" but to take it away 3 months later with zero notice is just a complete disregard for the customers.

So we all have to buy an antenna in March to watch the White Sox only for 3 months later to be told it's not available anymore and we have to get a carrier to watch baseball?  Jerry Reinsdorf can suck

They really are for continuing to charge for a station that doesn't exist.

JR stated a year or so ago sports teams were taking these companies to the cleaners getting on the basic tier. Now that is drying up, so there will be less accounts on the higher tier, which means less viewers, which means less advertising dollars.

Bulls season opener and still no Comcast, Fubo, or Hulu deal.  I figured the Hawks and the NHL wouldn’t move the needle much but not having a deal by the nba regular season is a little stunning.

RSNs are dead.

DTC is the future.

Yep.  I think that’s the whole point.  RSNs are dead and…Jerry is now trying to launch an RSN for 3 professional teams and apparently playing hardball with the largest cable provider in the region and the largest streamers.  Not at least having a deal with Fubo as the NHL and NBA seasons is unconscionable.  No Comcast agreement and a lack of an app when regular season games are being played is unbelievable.  I actually think OTA was a pretty good idea but saying that broadcast signals in Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Des Moines, Springfield, Paducah,  Davenport, Peoria, Quincy, & Sioux City are “coming soon” 4 weeks after your launch is insane incompetence.

Hmmm

As of March 2024, FuboTV says it has 1.908 million global paying subscribers, including 1.511 million subscribers in North America.

I'll be happy to make the switch. And MLBN is on Fubo.

CHICAGO, October 25, 2024 -- The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) has reached a multi-year agreement with FuboTV Inc. (d/b/a/ Fubo) (NYSE: FUBO), the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform. CHSN is launching in Fubo’s Pro base channel plan tonight, in time for CHSN’s telecast of the Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks.

Fubo subscribers will have access to live telecasts of the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox games, pre- and post-game coverage, exclusive interviews, and 24/7 multisport programming, all delivered from CHSN’s studios at both Chicago’s United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field.

“Fubo continues to deliver more access for sports fans to watch their favorite teams, and they have made it clear that Chicago sports and their fans are an important part of that growth,” said CHSN president Jason Coyle. “As we continue to aim to be on every platform where our fans watch, we are excited about the opportunity the Fubo platform provides our fans through their flexible billing terms and availability everywhere."

Ope

What the f*** does “ope” mean?  My statement was that it was stunning that the network wasn’t on Fubo for NBA opening night.  The Fubo agreement is a good thing but it in no way changes my original assertion that they should’ve made an agreement before the season opener.  Try harder.

Well that seems completely necessary and called for.

Ope.

Hope that wasn't serious.

Does anyone use 5G from their cell phone provider for home internet/Wi-Fi? And what is your opinion of the service

I wouldn't mind cutting out my cable company.

If you do anything other than look at websites/apps on your phone than I would not recommend it.

It also seems completely impossible physically.
