I was expecting the asterisk at the bottom for Buehrle to say "*Just kidding, Raul Casanova"

Eh, I’m not so sure about that.  I think plenty of Sox fans would actually pay the money to go blast Jerry and Getz.  I wouldn’t, because then I would be funding these clowns more money.  But many Sox

  • What the Sox don't seem to realize is that they are not losing so-called "fair weather fans." They are losing some of their most loyal fans. And if that is truly happening, what do you have left? Deni

They got Gus Varland. That should ensure a sellout.

Scheduled Attendees

2005 World Series team

Mark Buehrle*, José Contreras and Freddy García

Former White Sox players

Harold Baines

Current White Sox players

Brooks Baldwin, Sean Burke, Jonathan Cannon, Korey Lee, Bryan Ramos, Mike Tauchman, Drew Thorpe, Miguel Vargas, Gus Varland and Andrew Vaughn

White Sox prospects

Chase Meidroth, Braden Montgomery, Colson Montgomery, Edgar Quero, Noah Schultz, Hagen Smith, Kyle Teel and George Wolkow

*Mark Buehrle in attendance on Friday, January 24 only

The fact that they can't get ANY former players outside of Harold and those 3 (which are a good three) is so, so sad. For f***'s sake, Ozzie, Beckham, Pods and Frank are on the team payroll.

Colson Montgomery and Noah Schultz will have to carry the entirety of SoxFest on their shoulders, because I don't think the other prospects will have endeared themselves at all to fans since their rises were during last year's horror show.

I dunno, it seems like a pretty good lineup. Who actually wants Ozzie? He might spit on me.

Only three from the World Series is a shame, but it is not surprising. I would never expect Ozzie come, 2005 is fading away.  Of course, younger fans know nothing about it. The record losing season is overshadowing everything.

I wouldn't mind getting a picture with Wolcow just because I'd look like a child next to him...a balding child that is.

Doesn’t seem like a big enough space for a convention, but they did a nice job on the remodel.

The guy does the postgame show, along with Frank and Podsednik.  Pretty sad that the Sox couldn’t get them to go.  Hell, they couldn’t even get Bacon to go.

I have seen all of the ex-Sox players over the years so I am more excited about seeing some of the prospects for the first time. I hope Wolkow goes. That would be awesome.

I did not see a post that indicates which day Wolkow will be there. Do you?

I was wondering if he will be there on Saturday, that is all..  He is a local kid that I have been excited to have as part of the WSox org. and hope to meet him.

Oh, I see.  I assumed he would be there every day considering the footnote that Buehrle will only be there one day.

Wasn't that the only possible reading?

Everyone but Buehrle would be there throughout the weekend?

Stop what? Drawing a logical conclusion?

Thanks, haha.  I just assumed by reading the release that everyone listed would be attending both days of SoxFest, considering there is a footnote that says only Buehrle will be attending the first day and not Saturday.

This whole shebang is being held in a church basement right?

Like the team and the organization just not very impressive is it? Although I do appreciate Getz having the guts to show up.

Having to defend low turnout from 2005 WS guys, Robert, Benintendi...they did get all their key players from the Crochet trade and the majority of top prospects at least.
