Cal Mitchell, OF out of Pittsburg's minor league system, just spent the previous year treading water in El Paso for the Padres.

Outfielder Cal Mitchell and the Chicago White Sox have agreed to a minor league deal, sources tell @JustBB_Media. Includes an invite to big league camp.

Mitchell, 25, has a career .627 OPS in 71 MLB games, but hit .277/.359/.512 with 22 HR in the hitter-friendly PCL last season.

The Braves just signed superstar Jose Devers. The Rays, Jays, Royals, Reds have all made similar deals in the past few days. You’re either being ignorant or disingenuous.

But for some teams it's so minor that no one notices. 

For other teams is interesting but not impactful. 

Then there are a couple teams like the Sox where it's a major signing worth lots of discussions.
