I hope they get Bregman. I feel like that contract will age poorly.

Also this.

Hoyer and crew actually spending some money.  The deal doesn’t sound that bad for a 4 WAR player, even if he declines.  He’ll probably still be good for at least half of the contract.

The deal is believed to be worth around $30 million annually over four years, with multiple opt-outs.

If that's what Bregman gets, he turned down $150 million from the Astros earlier this offseason.

Yep, I don’t see this being that bad of a contract.

6 years, $156M right?

Him being on the books probably means they cry poor next offseason when it comes time to re-sign Tucker though.

They are the B tier version of the White Sox.  They have no plan.

Excellent, a 5+ WAR RF would be perfect for the White Sox next offseason, they've struggled to fill their RF spot for a number of years and hopefully they've built up more talent this offseason.

If that’s the case, they are morons.  You don’t bring in Bregman to not have money to extend Tucker.  I would sooner throw Matt Shaw to the fire and start him at 3B than sign Bregman.

“Hahahahahaaa, you plan on chipping in for him, @Balta1701?!?”
