Paredes is a 3+ win player with three years of control…if they lose Tucker to free agency that alone will hurt. The prospects can probably be replaced to your point though.

December 13, 20241 yr One White Sox angle - its darn smart that Getz got the Crochet deal done when he did, as Framber Valdez is clearly on the trade block from Houston now and, although he's more expensive in dollars, he has a postseason pedigree that Crochet doesn't have.
December 13, 20241 yr Cubs might be selling high on Cam Smith? Or maybe they project Shaw as a 3b? Cuz this is a lot to give up for 1 year of Tucker. For their sake, I hope he extends but they have a lot of depth in R/R guys who can play 2b/3b.
