Street fighting fist fighter.  Sure

First rule of announcing for anybody not named Hawk is don't make yourself the story. Great work John.

To me he is a chooch, but at least he, or someone he has to listen to, realizes something has to change.

New Network, New Tone for Schiffren in his second year (and first with a new network)

One of the comments at the end of the article was on point here...

Listening to his segment with Bruce Levine and Ryan McGuffey on “Inside the Clubhouse,” I have the feeling it’s not going to be the quickest of fixes.

I heard that interview and have to agree with this JM. This tough-guy, I am from New York, need to prove people wrong nonsense really bothers me. Who the hell cares? You went to Dartmouth. What is that the toughest of the Ivy League Schools(?).

He comes off to me as thin-skinned, petty and not very good at his job and that interview on the Score only reinforced that to me.

His disingenuous attempts to explain his performance and actions last year as caused by his being overly competitive and wanting to prove people wrong, makes no sense. You are a professional MLB play by play announcer.  (Like GM's, it's just one of 30 such jobs in the world.)  No need to prove anyone wrong. Just do better.

I guess one of the other things that he did that annoyed a lot of players and front office people (probably because he felt isolated from Stone and Brooks Boyer)...was hanging around the players too much, getting too close to be objective with some of them (like Pham), trying too hard to be the "cool kid" and showing off that he wasn't Benetti but maybe pitching himself as the polar opposite in numerous ways.

It does appear he is aware he can't do what he did last year. Perhaps he can improve, but right now he and Steve Stone are two reasons I won't be watching the Sox this season.

We made it 5 games into the season before the latest Schriffencident. Hopefully they mimic how the Blackhawks handled Vosters and send him packing after the season.

It’s like he feels he needs to beef with someone or something in order to be heard.  It’s the weirdest fucking thing, I have never heard of Pitching Ninja pissing anyone off or being a part of a controversy.  You would think Rob kicked his dog, the way he phrased that

Clearly, Schriff knows more than Yu Darvish:

I was more just watching the game and not listening.  Did he say this and then say something about deferring to Stone about being an expert in pitching?  I know this guy is a boob, but what a stupid-ass comment.  Why try to pick a fight with one of the better accounts for all things pitching?

Bannister gets it.

I love how Brooke Fletcher talked about PitchingNinja all excitedly (whether she was just faking it or not) and Schriffen craps on it by laughing and saying he wouldn’t look at it.  🤣

The Schriff-dog is too cool for school.

I would have expected Hawk to respond this way if he was still broadcasting and then revert to highlighting the accuracy of TWTW over PitchingNinja.

Woof. Just went I thought he was getting a little better by getting out of the way of the game. Come on man.

Lmao Bannister had to say something!  That means it was not well received

It’s just how he condescendingly and confidently says he will NOT be getting info from pitching ninja

It was definitely intentional without being an outright dick to Schriffen directly like Schriffen was about PitchingNinja.

It doesn't even make sense. Why would you not get info from him? He posts nasty pitches on Twitter. He is acting like he is giving advice that he doesn't agree with.
