You, tray, and greg need to stop this moronic bullshit.  Do you actually want to ruin one of the few potentially good position prospects we have?

They’re just trolling.  Unfortunately, there are still people who get joy making dumb comments on message boards and riling up the posters there.

I stand by my posts and always try to be respectful, except when attacked. Fvk you.

Steve Dunning (1970), Mike Morgan (A's pitcher), Pete Incaviglia (Univ Texas), Dave Winfield, Dave Roberts (Padres), Brian Milner (Blue Jays), Jim Abbott (Michigan), Xavier Nady (Padres), those are the notables players to go directly from draft/NCAA or high school baseball directly to the major leagues without ANY MiLB seasoning.

Basically, 23 players have done it since 1965...with Winfield clearly the most successful, a HoFer out of Minnesota.

Didn't John Olerud do that?

Olerud broke into MLB with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1989, without ever playing in the minors. Prior to the 1990 season, he was named the #3 prospect in MLB by Baseball America.

Yep, add him to a SHORT SHORT list.

#3 prospect, vs. Braden Montgomery in the 40's through 60's, with one rating service not even having him in the Top 100 since he didn't play last year in short-season ball due to injury.

Incaviglia and Abbott were both Top 10 rated/legendary college players/pitchers.

You’re pretty incredibly hopeful then, and I won’t say “Fvk you” to you.  Let’s start a 22 year old in the majors with ZERO minor league experience.  Enjoy the Andrew Vaughn experience…  all over again.

This is what you get when you rely upon an AI aggregated search, lol...

I honestly think AB is cursed with the Sox. If traded, he'll revert to normal. The worst part

is that he's a good guy in a "Twilight Zone" episode.

Eh, he was never that good of a hitter or defender.

Holy smokes. Just logging on and saw this. I was starting to actually like Beni and consider him moderately valuable. Like Fathom said recently this team is not going to score runs. I'd say our offense will be historically bad. How the hell did Beni hurt his hand? I will like this if Colas plays. I might even consider buying mlb.com to see him bat a lot. I always liked Colas and that big fat outfielder the Sox would never give a chance to, Yermin.

I couldn't have come up with some of those. I just remembered that one.

However, I can't remember my two kids names. 😁

Maybe I only saw the lowlights last year, but wasn’t Vargas like Sheets level bad in LF?

I was just thinking it's time to reacquire Sheets.

DeLoach Julks Colas Fletcher their best LF options at the moment.

Probably move Slater Tauchman Taylor over though.

Or Gallo.

We talked about Baldwin Vargas Ramos playing LF as well.

Vaughn back to lf, Elko to 1B lol.

Serious question: Could any of the guys mentioned in your post here play for any other team besides the Sox? I'm talking the 11 guys you mentioned. I think Vaughn and Elko could play for somebody but none of those other stiffs. Our team is gonna be shut out prolly 25 to 35 times IMO.

Luis Robert or Oscar colas plays left. Throw Michael A Taylor in center. If colas doesn't work send him packing. Maybe will keep Robert healthy

I got a feeling Michael A Taylor will play every single day and be my least fave player. I smell a .150ish BA from the guy.

I wasn’t referring to you, but thanks for always being respectful 😘

It's this sort of bad break that can really be the difference between just being historically bad and setting our own record breaking historically bad total last year.

Peaked at 4.4 fWAR in 2018...2.1 in 2022, before we gave him the big contract.

Amazing how it’s getting closer to a repeat of last season.

I hesitate to categorize what it is that’s being done, but it feels like it’s what’s being offered at a tailgate that nobody wants to try because it doesn’t look quite right.
