I'm going to be annoying and point out that Wolkow has struck out in 44% of his plate appearances during this short run of power hitting. Not really showing that he can find a way to generate enough contact without giving up his power. I hope he figures it out as he seems like a nice kid and of course I enjoy the aesthetic of a giant dude playing baseball.

Nothing you said was really annoying, negative, or untrue.  The dude can hit all the dingers he wants but he will be a bust if he can’t reduce his strikeout rate.  It’s just so high that it would be unsustainable in the majors.

This is a pretty strange response. He’s OPSing ~100 points higher since the promotion.

They are being very proactive with arm health this year it seems

So our #3, #7, #9, #12, #17, #18, #19, #21, and #24 prospects, who are all starting pitchers, are all currently unable to preform as starting pitchers.

Considering what has happened with injuries this year, I'm sure they are going to be very conservative.

Where does it say he’s unable to perform?

I am unsure about how to respond to this because it is literally right there in the tweet.

White Sox: Christian Oppor, LHP (No. 18)
Extremely raw when the White Sox selected him in 2023's fifth round out of Gulf Coast State (Fla.) JC, Oppor has impressed with his arsenal and improved polish while putting together a 3.46 ERA, .180 average-against and 37 strikeouts in 26 innings between two Class A levels. He's working at 93-95 mph and touching 98 with his fastball while also missing bats with a sweeping 78-82 mph slider and tumbling upper-70s change up.

Precautionary workload management isn’t the same as unable to perform. I’m sure Crochet was more than able to pitch 5 innings late last year. I don’t know what you expect exactly? He’s going 200 innings this year?

Anyways agree to disagree.

They are holding him out of games, thus making him unavailable to perform as a starter.

If you would rather pretend they aren't holding him out of games, thus making him unavailable to perform as a starter, I will let you run with that, minus the name calling.

I removed the name calling like 2 minutes later because I didn’t want to be childish. Put forth my look on it instead. You just responded really quick.

I edited as well.

"Workload management"

I guess that's how the Colas saga ends.

Yeah, looks like @Harold's Leg Lift was right all along. I worried Cags outdid be a 1b only guy, but with that kinda power, who cares? Looks like he should have been the first guy picked.
