Why are we giving Dalbec so much playing time at third compared to Vargas Ramos Sosa etc.?

  • Going south? I think the prospects are looking pretty good.

  • Thorpe did not have a ucl injury which linked to velocity/ max effort.

  • It’s currently blocking Vargas, Drury, and Sosa from playing more 2b. It’s not a huge deal, but when the Sox run out the worst defensive infield in the league, their commitment to Vaughn will be a con

Anderson and Varland have both been released as well. The Sox have some decent prospects, but man, do they have a lot of bad players in camp with a chance to make the team.

"Michael A. Taylor hitting .063 and has never been a good hitter but somehow has two walks today."

Knight laying into Ashcraft as well as the cold/overcast weather today lol.

Drury having a day. 2 HR

What positions can Drury actually play anymore? He has mostly been yet another R/R 1b/DH this spring. Really underlines how offering Vaughn arbitration was an odd choice.

As far as Vaughn, I think it's more of a case that the money spent on him isn't preventing the team from doing anything nor is he blocking anyone, so you can spend a few bucks on someone

Probably mostly 1B with a little 3B/2B.

Elbow discomfort for Adams. It is exactly what it looked like. More testing tomorrow.

Drury is a 2nd baseman. Play him at 2nd and let's get some home runs out of our infield.

I think someone suggested this in the Opening Day 26 man roster thread.

Oh yeah, it was me.

I said this in the other thread:  Vaughn at 1st;   Drury at 2nd;  Sosa at SS; and Vargas at 3rd.  Injuries have to stay away and Drury not be flipped, but that could very well be 70 to 80 home runs from the Sox infield. Maybe more than 80.

Need Vaughn to hit 25+.  No excuses for him any more. Let's go Andrew.

Rough few weeks

I don’t dislike Fletcher, but I can’t stand watching him “hit.”

He swings like Corbin Carroll, but without the power

Uh oh.

Nice game except for the Adams injury.

Exactly.

Another one bites the dust.

Dodgers don't look so stupid now do they signing all those pitchers?

One of the worst ST I can remember.  Is that 5 or 6 major injuries to pitchers?

Dalbec was a great prospect about 6 years ago/

Right but he's not going to make this roster...unless they're going to start cutting guys like Vargas and Sosa, which makes zero sense.
