IMO, Braden Montgomery will be up sometime this season. He looks like he has all the tools.

Tray you're asking him to jump to the big leagues with zero MiLB experience as of today.

He's not Ventura Thomas or Alex Fernandez.

On the Dodgers he wouldn't be up for 2 or even 2 1/2 seasons.  Maybe even three.

And still haven't been replaced.

Luis Robert remotivated probably puts up more WAR than Luis Robert on his exercycle at home. I'm guessing they get more production at 3rd from Vargas then they did from Remillard/Mendick, and Drury hits better than Eloy/Not Eloy.

The White Sox will have a new stadium deal this year.

Not going to happen....ever on the 78. That is a graveyard for any team that would move there -- franchise ender.

I disagree. BM  has all the tools he needs to play MLB right now and given the dire prognostications for the team this season,  no problem developing as the team takes shape with other new young players.

The NBA is obviously an entirely different pro sport but consider how Matis Guzelis , a slightly built 20 year old is performing against much stronger NBA veterans.  Many people doubted he would be "ready."

Who was the last hitter to completely skip the minor leagues, and why is Montgomery that ready?

Not even Kristian Campbell...who zoomed from relatively unknown fourth rounder out of GA Tech to consensus Top Ten in the sport prospect was close to capable of going to the majors last year with Boston.

And Montgomery also had a major injury last year to his ankle and missed the end of Ncaas and short season wooden bat experience.

One of the three guys they refused to part with for Garrett Crochet.

Someone else posted this. Last one I thought of was John Olerud.

Yeah, it could be so much worse then what you are seeing now, hahaha

Thankfully the Sox apparently haven’t hit rock bottom yet, even with 121 record losses last year!  There’s always a deeper grave for the Sox to aspire for!  🤣

I'm thinking, once they introduce an alternative uniform design I just hate, that will be the end of the White Sox!!

I can’t wait until it happens…will change the franchise forever.

Consider the sports culture of many if not most WSox fans ....Most are from the South side, South and SW suburbs....not the far West exurbs. A huge percent of them drive to games for various reasons including convenience, security for their families, and of course, tailgating during the summer. Imagine the Bears moving to the 78 with no parking for fans and no tailgating.  You can try to change the culture by catering to a minority of fans (like those coming in on trains from exurbs ) but it won't work.  Neither will trying to recreate Wrigleyville or building an office park with a stadium inside it. There would be a risk in abandoning the long time home of the franchise and for what reason? Convenience for whom?

Braden will be 22 next month. Plenty of 20,21 and 22 year olds came into the majors last season, as they always do. it doesn't matter that Braden has not had MLB experience for two reasons - the team is going to be terrible no matter what and there isn't anyone on the roster that can play RF like he can. He is faster than an antelope and has a gun for an arm.

The most successful franchise in Chicago has zero parking. White Sox fans aren't nearly as stupid as you are making them out to be.  If Cub fans can find Wrigley Field from all over the world with no team parking, so can Sox fans with a way smaller fan base.  Plus there will be more parking in that area than Wrigley because of existing parking in the area.

I agree with you that it isn’t going to happen, but it IS a “bold prediction”.

If he wins this one, he may have to be considered the bold prediction GOAT. Can't soar with eagles if you're hanging with turkeys
