$5 foot longs a thing of the past :(

And if someone offers you a footlong for $5, you probably want to politely decline if you aren’t at Subway...

It's a little worse when your GM is the worst talent evaluator in the game.

We are, in fact, off on Monday.

Was hilarious. I think the Sox will find at least 2 real starters out of this group, but those who thought the unit were solid had lost their mind and just ignored all the data available to them.

Especially on a subway

Did Pedro come back? This team sucks I was expecting better.

I would like to see JR  and the Sox brass direct Getz to acquire decent players at almost any cost to get this team out of the hole they are in.  Realistically, Rick and Kenny left a mess that will take years to clean up, and they wasted and made millions for themselves doing it.

Baldwin reminds of Colson Montgomery in several ways - too tall and slinky to play infield, low baseball IQ, and plenty of swings and misses.

On another point, it will not be soon enough when they bring up Chase Meidroth and Kyle Teel.

This team is inferior in every single way to Detroit. And that hurts to say, but it's true.

just like the Bears

Look at all of Getz’s transactions since he was promoted.  It’s obvious that Jerry gave him the job with the knowledge that he would have to cut payroll massively.  How many trades have we seen where the Sox are getting cash considerations back?  They are playing the extremely cheap and long game.  Slashing the payroll and losing is quite literally the strategy.  On pace for 40/41 wins.

No help will be coming and Robert is ensuring that we won’t get another return of decent prospects this season.  Six pitchers need TJ surgery.  Vargas is as bad as last year.  Davis Martin and his kick change garbage just got absolutely shellacked by a division rival.  Getz has put together an absolute mess.  Hahn and Kenny were way better than this clown, as pathetic as that is.

Well that isn’t happening because of Jerry

To me Getz embodies the Peter principle. He is well-intended  but in over his head. Maybe demote him to assistant and get someone else to run the team.

100% agreed.  He got the GM job too early.  Maybe he will be good eventually, but it’s obvious that he is in over his head right now.  These guys all have their faults.  Hahn’s top skill was negotiating player contracts, even though they all ended up poorly.  He wasn’t very good at much else.

Jerry is old and comfortable.  He got his WS in 2005.  I know you are not a fan of Ishbia but just imagine if the guy actually wants to win and throws money at this team?

I’m excited for a new owner and a TRUE house cleaning of the organization.

Why would you want someone who has failed twice still around the organization?

Just no way Ishbia keeps him around.

I honestly don’t know what Getz is good at but maybe his willingness to upgrade the org to the latest and greatest technology and data analytics is his thing.  I don’t think he’s a good GM overall because he continues to waste money on bad vets and chooses the wrong prospects in trades.

And for as much as the team should be using DA and stats, Getz hired a manager that continues to play his buddy in Jankowski that wouldn’t be on any other MLB team’s active roster.  The fact that Getz added Jankowski and Venable keeps starting him tells me they are on the same page with an awful player starting for their team.

In any case, Getz is most definitely gone the second Ishbia officially owns the team.

The most sense tray has ever made. As Owen Wilson 30 times said: “wow.”

Someone said it earlier, but Getz just seems like a horrible talent evaluator.

That existed long before him.

Very disappointing start to the season for Robert after a solid spring. Looks like he's in one of his stretches at the plate where he has no chance. Always been streaky as he'll, but you'd sure think the guy would be playing for his future. Both to be traded but also to get the option picked up. Duplicate his 24 season and he's going to have some tepid FA agent interest in the offseason compared to having a monster 25.

It didn't take long for the White Sox to have the worst record in the AL.

No surprises here...Tauchman up, Jankowski out.
