Well...the first blown game with a lead in the 7th inning or later this season.

Many, many more to come.

2-7 worst record in the league and far more losses to come.

White Sox baseball.

  • This organization is in desperate need of a complete uprooting. Everyone should be fired and bring in someone to build this thing. Too many half measures leaving traces of the same old s%*#. Reset but

  • Funny thing is you know Tigers were gonna put up 2-3 more runs

  • If you listen to some here, Getz has completely reshaped the organization and has done a great job of changing things… Seriously. 😂

And the offense has now scored three runs or less in six of the nine games played.

Seriously I don't see one single, solitary thing to be excited about or optimistic for the future right now with this team and organization.

Problem is if they gonna audition a closer on the fly they need to let him start the inning

Some of the guys down in the minors, I'm excited for, honestly. Of course, we'll probably just trade them for a 36 year old guy the Sox REALLY wanted in 2015.

The Schultz/Smith/Taylor group has the potential to be one of the best in baseball if they can stay healthy.   Past that, it's a franchise which really lacks star ceilings.   A few guys you can dream on, but it is going to be brutal for the near to mid term.

Every top rated prospect is performing.

You mean like Colson Montgomery? 😉

Give the prospects time, something will screw them up...these are the White Sox.

From the Sun-Times:

DETROIT — White Sox designated hitter Andrew Benintendi exited Sunday’s 4-3 loss against the Tigers with left adductor tightness.

He appeared to come up lame when he was running on the bases in the first inning. Losing Benintendi for any stretch of time would be a significant hit to an already thin Sox lineup. Nick Maton replaced Benintendi at the DH spot in the lineup.

Benintendi was in a good stretch, batting .290/.333/.484 with a .817 OPS.

Last year, the Sox lost former third baseman Yoan Moncada and designated hitter Eloy Jimenez to adductor tightness. How long Benintendi is out depends on the severity of the tightness.

Manager Will Venable said he thinks part of Benintendi’s injury happened Saturday when he made a leaping catch into the left-field wall in the first inning.

“He felt OK today,” Venable said. “And then that first at-bat, [it] started flaring up on him a little bit, and we just want to do the right thing, get him out of there.”

They won’t all pan out and they don’t have enough of them.

They all get hurt as soon as they get hot. Happens all the time with this team

Can we PLEASE win this game and not get swept.

Can we PLEASE, this year, not make our Central Division opponents appear five or so games better than they are by giving them another 10 free wins that they really don't deserve, if they were playing real teams?

If those first two are impossible;  can we PLEASE make today's game appear in doubt beyond the 3rd inning (unlike the last two) so I can have some, if even a minimal amount of enjoyment as I try to watch the game today?

The bullpen is responsible for 4 out of the team's 7 losses so far.  Can't blame the offense.

This is objectively not true. Colson Montgomery has gotten off to an awful start, with a .074/.167/.185 slash line.

18 strikeouts and only 2 walks in 35 plate appearances is mind-blowing.

In nine games they are averaging 3.5 runs per game and THAT'S WITH a game with nine runs and a game with eight runs.

The offense is as horrible as last season.

And of course the Sox will sit him for four or five days before deciding he needs to go on the IL for who knows how long.

And it definitely doesn't include the TJS crowd either.

Why anyone would pay 1 cent to go to a game to support this owner and the scam he is running is beyond me?

That's the best way to describe it - a scam. Pretending to be an MLB team but really just something to line his pockets.

I've watched one game on TV this year even though I've DVR'd every game.

Hard for me to even pay attention anymore at all.

The real kick in the pants is this is the freaking "low budget/flyover" AL Central...that we won't even attempt to compete in.

Imagine if the White Sox were in the AL/NL East or West.  We'd basically be looking at the same fate as the Rockies or Marlins, minus the almost incomprehensible fan support out in Denver (see Chicago Bulls' attendance.)

Oh I can blame the offense.

I agree, This is nothing but a scam. The White Sox pretending to be a major league franchise is the best way to describe it.

After a 121-game losing season, next to nothing was done to improve this team. I don't expect Dodger-like money to be spent, but something should have been done.  Why go to a game when fans are taken for fools?

But JR will go on and on. And we will be entertained by 100-loss seasons.

Next to nothing?  It’s not that they tried to improve, they were made significantly worse.  The scary thing about all of this is there are really no assets to trade to acquire more talent.  Getz completely shitting the bed on the Cease and Fedde trades is so easily excused by so many.

If Getz is not the worst evaluator of talent in the league, he's got to be in the top 3.

Where the hell is the Fire Getz thread??

You can go for the OG, or you can even start a clean 2025 version.
