Have to just hope Pages keeps sucking at the plate and Robert starts hitting. The Dodgers could still always just stick with Edman as their primary CF but it’s pretty apparent that they want to keep him in a utility role.

April 15, 20251 yr If Robert is healthy and playing well, wouldn't any contender from a larger market be interested? The Dodgers have a loaded farm system, but our last attempt to get talent resulted in Vargas, an injured IF and another middle of the road prospect who we will never hear from again. So far, Robert, outside of the Boston game on Saturday, looks awful. It's also 15 games into the season and April. A lot can change by June. It's just hard to see the White Sox getting a multiple high end prospects back for Robert. If they get a team's top #10 prospect and another in the top #20, I think that's the extent of it. Basically a couple of lottery tickets that may improve the overall depth of the organization, but probably don't much else.

I continually pointed out that it wasn’t just health that was a concern with Robert now, it was also performance after a bad 2024 campaign. The start to this season has done nothing to alleviate that concern either. We saw the same thing happen with Moncada, where even when he was healthy he just wasn’t that good anymore towards the end of his Sox career.

I just think he hasn't put the time in to recognize how he's being attacked and what adjustments he needs. He just doesn't seem like a guy that wants to work on stuff outside the gym.

They just have none of the explosiveness and fast twitch that they had when they came into the game. I do wonder if it is because they played through injuries.

Not even remotely comparable situations.

I’m pointing out that he has been using technology previously not provided to him to address his major weakness during the offseason. And if Sheets is still hitting this well at the end of May? Isn't the most salient point here if the athlete himself totally believes in the changes he's made?
