Anyone who thinks Tony LaRussa brought anything positive to this organization this time around is truly derranged.

  • I may be in the minority but I have no issue with them keeping Luis. They have nothing committed to payroll next year and no one knocking at the door to be an every day CFer. Also, I would consider ke

  • Oh no. Chris Getz maybe asked for a desirable target in trade negotiations. It's truly unfortunate dialogue ends completely after one player is inquired about.

I want the Sox to trade him, but I don’t want them to give Robert away. Keep him unless there’s a decent return.

Sit him tomorrow

I think this makes a lot of sense.  Day game after a night game, righty Taijuan Walker on the mound for the Phillies, off day on Thursday (trade deadline day).  No reason to risk injury to Robert.  I even question starting Houser tomorrow over doing a bullpen day.

Yeah I don't see any benefit to starting Houser tomorrow and Robert should be out too.

*cocks gun*

Yet.

Soto exits game with foot contusion for the Mets. Not sure how serious that is but could it entice them even more so to acquire Robert?

Nothing has improved Robert’s stock more than Vaughn.

Have we gotten better offers?

Reports out there that Acuna might be the target.  That would be awful, this team doesn’t need another infielder with no power.

No thanks to Acuna as the return for the very reason you mentioned.

What reports are you referring to?

Feinsand about 15 mins ago reported Mets are front runners for Robert and Acunas name is being floated out there.

I didn’t think the Sox could target a worse option than Vientos, but apparently I was wrong.  We could have a nice collection of some of the weakest hitting 2B of all time.

It’s almost like our GM was a crappy hitting 2b

To be fair, Lenyn has some pop for a 2Ber.

He just has zero actual baseball acumen.

I would not be surprised if the Sox tried to make him a full-time CF.  Either way, BAD.  You can have great tools but you still have to be able to hit.  How did this guy make the MLB’s top 100 list two years in a row (#71 in 2023, #93 in 2024)?

He would hit more homers if he had any patience and wasn’t swinging at every bad pitch thrown his way.  His current BB to strikeout rate is eerily close to last year, and both are bad.
