I would love to see that happen...however, love Paul Skenes but if these awards are a popularity contest...people like Jackson Merrill (who had a helluva rookie season) finish behind the beauty queen.

I think if he plays 140 games and hits the 300/370/440 it would take to put up 5.5 bWAR you can hand him the trophy. But if we're in fantasy land, lets go for 330/400/500 and 8 bWAR. That would really

Doubtful. He's not the kind of player who normally wins ROY.

Too early anyway. If he has good stats at the end of the season we'll see if he's a contender.

No chance in hell.  Campbell seems like the clear favorite

To early to tell.  Let the kid get about 40-50 games under his belt

Last year's ROY went to Luis Gil and his pretty pedestrian 3.0 bWAR. If the AL has a bunch of above-average players, and Meidroth somehow breaks through with a 5.5 bWAR season, yeah, I could see him getting votes, but if a guy like Shane Smith dominates (or some top rated prospect), he could put that up and win going away.

Well, a string on April 15 about a minor leaguer who has played 3 games winning ROY is fanciful, in itself. My comment was not that Meidroth is Superman, but that he would have to play great defense and maintain for most of the year in a fallow year for prospects in order to get close. 2025 looks like the Red Sox and Yankees are rolling out their top prospects, and the year is too long for a glorified Nick Madrigal to BB his way to an award.

Get him at 100/125 to 1 while you still  can. It will at least make the summer interesting.

Yes, but we don't even know if he can hit at the MLB level yet. Play him everyday and let's find out.

I think Shane Smith has a better chance.

Doubt it. He isn't going to have the counting stats that matter (i.e. HR's, RBI's)

Dominguez having a big game tonight.

Yankees and Red Sox always have that built-in media advantage to start off with...the only way to win in the face of that is to have overwhelming numbers.

The dude hasn’t hit a home run and has only 10 mlb at bats under his belt.

His "Hall-of-Fame" is his point.

I actually like this at 100/120-1.

It’s a little too early to even begin speculating. Thought that was obvious.

Doubtful but thanks for the sentiment.

Can Quero win it too?
