Surprised he’s getting the call already, considering he just turned 22.

Salas could be up with the Padres at 19-20...you're ready or you're not according to development people.

Plus all the Latin kids playing constantly since 13-14 years old.  Different comp to US timeframes.

The Sox, under their current owner, are cheap and need to extend their prospects’ timelines.  Every year of control matters.

Because he is playing well and already was in Charlotte last year? What’s wrong with this?

Our catchers on pace for 6 fWAR. We should be getting something for one of them, if they DFA Lee to bring him up it makes no sense. Catcher is the least of our worries right now.

Maybe they are going to?

He's the youngest legit catching prospect higher than A ball...so if we're worried about age 22 preparedness?

At least Quero has the bloodline with his cousin in the Brewers' org.

Omar Narvaez in his prime offensively is one of the best comps...kind of ironic he's now back with the Sox at the very end of his career, with Quero perhaps taking over his spot, essentially.

Weird I’m comping him with Buster Posey mixed with Joe Mauer.
