Shockingly...not really...Twins Royals and White Sox are all at the bottom here.

Rangers and Rockies (stadium environment, but historically inept) are the only anomalies.

 

Cubs and White Sox couldn't be any more diametrically opposed...

Two low-class orgs will be right in their element tonight. There could be 7500 fans packed  in there tonight. Not to mention John Schriffen game show host. Almost  a Field Of Dreams sequel. Reminds me of the old Knot Hole Gang back east.

Anyone worried about Venable’s lineup decisions yet?  Does Palacios have to lead off just because that’s where the usual RF Tauchman would be?  I realize the majority of the lineup sucks but Palacios should barely be on any MLB team’s roster, much less starting AND leading off.  Awful.

I'm not one to push for michael taylor in the lineup but he's lifetime 5 - 5 off of severino.

Even if you don’t consider matchups, Venable apparently thinks his best chance of winning it to give the most potential at bats in each game to a guy who should be in AAA and is only on the team due to multiple outfielder injuries.  I’m losing faith in Venable quickly.  A bunch of small questionable decisions can add up to make a difference when it comes to wins and losses.  Not a big deal with this year’s team but perhaps when they are competitive.

They have one weak spot in their lineup — Berti at 3B.  If Shaw gets hot in AAA, they can always call him up.  They need another legit starter with Steele out and bullpen help at the deadline.
