Not really a blunder

On GameDay mobile phone, it's hard to imagine it NOT being one, but I guess it was a miracle/unexpected catch.

The problem is that runs are so scarce in this environment, you have to always be overly aggressive and try to put yourself in scoring position whenever you have the chance.

Estevez time...???

I guess this is what we've come to expect with the White Sox offense for 2025 (except for the occasional 7-11 scoring outburst once every 5-6 games).

Unfortunately, it doesn't get much easier with Lugo, Wacha and Bubic's 1.98 ERA on deck the next three games.

Should be right in between the Angels and Blue Jays for runs scored per game...3.54

They just don’t hit for enough power.  In games where you don’t have a lot of base runners, it makes it so much harder to score.  Finding slugging is so important in future draft picks and acquisitions.

AI Overview

The White Sox offense's struggles, especially in recent years, are indeed a point of frustration for fans, and the phrase "here lies the White Sox offense" is often used humorously to express that sentiment. The team has frequently been at the bottom of the league in runs scored, indicating a significant lack of offensive production.

That's why the Caglianone choice burns a little.

He's already the #20th ranked prospect in baseball, and it's the perfect time for the Sox to change 1B over anyway with Vaughn moving on/out.

This year, there's three more LHP prospects sitting around the #9-11 spots.

Fourth time shut out this year.

24th time in 35 games the Sox scored three runs or less (68.5%)

They were shutout 8 times in the first 35 last year.

The sad thing is that this team is better than last year’s but it is still only on pace for a 5 win improvement.

That is technically better, sad but better.
