caulfield12
At least Freeman can throw the ball pretty hard...whether he can control it or not is the question.

The problem is that runs are so scarce in this environment, you have to always be overly aggressive and try to put yourself in scoring position whenever you have the chance. caulfield12
Estevez time...??? I guess this is what we've come to expect with the White Sox offense for 2025 (except for the occasional 7-11 scoring outburst once every 5-6 games). Unfortunately, it doesn't get much easier with Lugo, Wacha and Bubic's 1.98 ERA on deck the next three games. Edited May 6 by caulfield12

caulfield12
https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/runs-per-game Should be right in between the Angels and Blue Jays for runs scored per game...3.54 KC is 27th at 3.43 rpg. This game will actually lower that number. Edited May 6 by caulfield12

In games where you don’t have a lot of base runners, it makes it so much harder to score. Finding slugging is so important in future draft picks and acquisitions.

chitownsportsfan
AI Overview Learn more The White Sox offense's struggles, especially in recent years, are indeed a point of frustration for fans, and the phrase "here lies the White Sox offense" is often used humorously to express that sentiment. The team has frequently been at the bottom of the league in runs scored, indicating a significant lack of offensive production.

That's why the Caglianone choice burns a little. He's already the #20th ranked prospect in baseball, and it's the perfect time for the Sox to change 1B over anyway with Vaughn moving on/out. This year, there's three more LHP prospects sitting around the #9-11 spots.

caulfield12
MLB.TV is on sale for $70, half off. Just an FYI. Pretty sure you get access to all the MiLB games/audio with that package as well, which is infinitely more interesting for Sox fans.
