He didn't get the 2 high pitches that were both showing up solid white on that TV strike zone. The low one was the most egregious . Definitely in the zone . tray Posted May 11, 2025 Share Posted May 11, 2025 IMO, Venable's decision to take Leisure out (throwing 97 mph) and put Eisert in was foolhardy. Also IMO.. some of our pitchers (not Shane Smith) make too many mistakes with their change-up and probably should not be throwing it until they improve on it and get more consistency. It should not be a pitch like a knuckle ball where a pitcher releases it and wonders where it might go. It should not end up center cut, slow and just waiting to get wailed on.
