Giving the high strike but ump didn't give Smith low strikes at all.

He didn't get the 2 high pitches that were both showing up solid white on that TV strike zone. The low one was the most egregious . Definitely in the zone .

Yeah Venable has shown very little instincts as a manager.  There’s a stunning lack of talent on the roster, but his decision making seems bad.

His lineups and decision making have been terrible thus far.

Seriously.  Getz is a fucking clown at this point.  Only the Rockies GM is keeping the heat off of him.

20-0.

13 runs surrendered last night...two weeks of production for Sox.

Last time I saw a starter give up 12+ was James Shields.

Only because the Sox are not in the brutal NL West

The records of all the teams in the ALC and NLW are actually very similar to one another.

Worse record than last season at this point.  Fire everyone

If Jerry continues to employ Getz, he better get used to issuing end of the season apology press releases.  But at what point will it become too embarrassing for Jerry to do it over and over?

Oh wait, as long as Jerry is making a profit, he doesn’t care…

10th game this year the Sox held an opponent to three runs or less and lost.

4th game this year the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost.

The Sox have scored three runs or less in 28 of the 40 games played (70%)

Shouldn't we just acknowledge all managers are about the same. None of 'em know what they are doing really.

IMO, Venable's decision to take Leisure out (throwing 97 mph) and put Eisert in was foolhardy.

Also IMO.. some of our pitchers (not Shane Smith) make too many mistakes with their change-up  and probably should not be throwing it until they improve on it and get more consistency. It should not be a pitch like a knuckle ball where a pitcher releases it and wonders where it might go.  It should not end up center cut, slow and just waiting to get wailed on.
