I don’t know that much of that was on Caleb. Maybe a throw or two - but packers were in his face almost every play. Bears seemed to regroup at halftime and come up with a better plan. That Packers D is no joke - it’s elite.

He has to be better than that. Think he started the game 0/6. His inconsistent play has been overlooked because of the victories, but there have been very few games this season where he’s been the better QB on the field for all 60 minutes. Need more from the No. 1 overall pick

I completely agree - he has plenty to work on…but I didn’t see a lot of the 0-6 start necessarily him not executing but offense as a whole getting worked. I think 3 of those were throwaways and 1 a drop by Loveland. He’s the qb so it starts with him but Packers pass rush was real and this was a great test for Bears. He had Kmet too - was right read too late (and bad ball too - good ball and probably a TD…especially if he threw on time).

Bottom line he still has a lot to keep working on and I hope after playing a few great Ds ( and browns D is pretty good too) that we see him and offense grow.

Chiefs just scored 10 against Texans and made Mahomes look like a fool quite a bit.

I want to see Caleb and offense come out and light the Browns up!

This - but they went toe to toe with them in the 2nd half and got very close. Not good enough…time to get back to work and keep grinding. Let’s go 1-0 vs brown.

Was Kyler out or did he get hurt? I don’t recall seeing him at any point (I didn’t have volume on most of game)

Kyler reinjured his groin in warmups.

Did you happen to see the 4th quarter of the Bills and Bengals talk about a QB losing it.

Caleb needs to be better but it was on the road in a hostile environment.  The Packer defense was gassed at that end of the game and had the Bears focused on the run early the results may have been different.

I think the Bears passed 5 of their first 6 plays.

It was a clunky game but one they easily could have won.

Aside from the Eagles game, this is generally similar to how they’ve played most of their games. One bad half, one good half.

As we’ve seen, it’s good enough to beat bad and mediocre teams, but this is the outcome I’d expect in a playoff game.

The good news is I trust Ben and the coaching staff to continue getting this team to improve. And also, while I still believe the Packers are the better team, the Bears have shown they can absolutely hang with them. Been awhile since we could say that.

For me the biggest positive takeaway was the second half adjustment.

Hopefully the Bears take lessons what happened and are ready for Round 2 at Soldier Field. Rome was definitely missed / they really need DJ and Caleb on the same page if they're gonna ascend.

Aside from the final play, I think 2 other plays really changed the game yesterday. The first was Loveland's drop/fumble right after the interception. Caleb made a good throw, but Loveland could not complete the catch going to the ground. Nice play by the Packers' safety as well. If they convert that catch, they get the ball at the 20 after a big momentum swing on the INT. They get at least 3 points off it instead of punting the ball right back. It probably changes the entire tone of the first half. The 2nd was the 3rd and 2 on the Packers' 2nd to last drive, where the Bears had 4 guys surround Jacobs behind the LOS and let him go right through for 21 yards. Just piss poor tackling. I know Jacobs is hard to bring down, but come on. That should never ever happen in the NFL. If you tackle him for a loss there, they most likely kick a FG and it completely changes the way that the final drive is managed.

That TD they gave up right before half was also a huge back breaker. You finally score points and hope to stop the Packers from scoring in the middle 8, and what happens? Your highest paid DB decides to not play his deep half and lets a deep crosser get right behind him for a TD. People want to blame Brisker for that play, but that's really not his responsibility. There is no way that the left side deep half is supposed to carry with a post like that. It also wouldn't have made any sense to have no real deep zone for the entire right side of the field. I know Jaylon Johnson needs time to get back up to speed, but his mistakes yesterday were purely mental.

I believe that’s when Cairo decided he forgot how to kick off too, so they gave them the ball at the 40

It's not as big of a deal as it used to be. If he kicks that into the end zone, they get it at the 35. If you let them return it, they probably get it to the 30 anyhow. 5-10 yards can make a difference there, but they gave up a 50 yard TD instead, so whatever.

All the sudden the 2025 Draft Class is looking pretty good with Loveland, Burden, Ozzy and Monangai

Ozzy doing that against Parsons and Gary is incredibly impressive. He had a better game pass blocking than Wright.

The Bears are gonna need to give Roushar a raise to keep him this off-season.

I would think Al Harris is going to be in line for a DC job...I would hope most of the other coaches stay, but they replace Hightower as ST Coordinator, an area that has been straight up bad for the Bears this year.

Why 39 picks were taken before Cooper DeJean was selected is one of life's great mysteries...seemed so obvious to at least select him in the 20s.

He perhaps is one of those non track guys like a Jerry Rice (obviously no HoF track yet for Coop) that almost never got caught from behind as a punt or kick returner in game situations. Rice quite famously "only" timed 4.55-4.6 (at Miss Valley State.)

Game speed/innate football instincts.

Harris reminds me of the type of guy Pitt could poach and end up coaching 20 years there
