My thoughts.

The special teams decision on KO had an issue in the Minnesota game and it has gone downhill from there.   Their KO coverage is so bad they should kick into the endzone every time and give the team the ball at the 35.  The KR is awful and a guy was signed to make it better.  Hightower is awful.

Higgins and Chase are beasts and Flacco knows what to do with them.  Rome should be in trending that way but I am not certain what goes on with him.  He does not attack the ball like elite WR's do.  The defense was going to have their hands full yesterday and they did.  The Bengals offense is elite and the defense was given short fields on KO a good amount so I was actually ok with how they played.  The inabiltiy to defend on special teams are the guys that are relied on for defense now and that is not good for anyone.

There was something about Monangai that interested me when they drafted him.  Loveland scoring was key as it allowed us to not have to rely on Santos as kicking seemed tough yesterday in that stadium and again special teams was not having a good day.

I am not certain that was a "bad win".  Defense was put in  bad position by Special teams and the offense outperformed one of the best offenses in the league on the road.

Oh and I will can any playoff game I can get.

  • Honestly, rest of the playoffs are gravy. I will be disappointed when/if they lose, but they LOST 10 IN A ROW LAST SEASON. I'm all about making the most of your window, but they just won a playoff gam

  • Caleb sucks am I right?

  • Oh no. The football team I love might lose a playoff game gtfoh.

Ok I do need to also give flowers for Wright, he seems to be trending to elite. I love watching his run blocking every week. He absolutely plows players, it is so rad. We love our offensive lineman in chicago, my apologies to Darnell.

Benedet is trending in that direction.  He escorted a guy 5 yards deep into the bench area.

They like running behind him a lot, he gets out in front and looks for guys to hit.

bmags is right on about Wright, he was a beast yesterday and every week I see his name among top 3 in pass protection

Playing with a messed up elbow as well.  Seems to have gotten the memo on stepping up his game.

The Bears special teams needs to walk home.

To follow up on this, the fact that ANY Bears player went closer than 10 yards to the football on the on-side attempt should be a fireable offense.  If the ball doesn't go 10 yards, the play is dead.  You cannot be in a position to be touched by the football at fewer than 10 yards out, under any circumstances, whatsoever.  It cannot happen.  Either players need to be released, or the Coach should be fired.  Maybe both.

I had a feeling we were gonna f*** up the onside kick yesterday because of how bad the special teams was all game. It just felt like that type of game from them.

I will say it was 4th and 8. He's had two interceptions like this where he kinda throws up an interception prayer and it kinda makes sense to do given the context.

I just wonder who the hell he was pointing at right before the throw lol. There's no Packer on the screen in bounds.

Wright got a 94 grade from PFF this week. I don't think I've ever seen a grade that high for a Bears offensive lineman.

Sounds like Dayo Odeyingbo is gonna miss some time with an ankle injury, they said he was in a walking boot after the game.  Given that they were sniffing around Jaelen Phillips before Philly got him today, makes me think they will be making a move before the deadline tomorrow

I agree about the 'bad win' thing. The Bengals had so many moments that just went their way, from the kick, to the graze of a thumb on edmunds on the pick six that instead had us backed up inside the ten, to the extremely close call on whether flacco fumbled which was another near TD.

The bears had a 2 TD lead with minutes left, and in most days a 7 point win on the road is good, but even better imo when you basically gave them a 7 point lead to start the game.

Booker was the Bears' highest graded defender yesterday and he only played half the snaps. He was playable against the run so you can probably throw him in more than they did.

My hope is this prevents the Bears from getting over their skills and giving up assets for a short term rental.  I get that they have needs, but this team is still plenty flawed, let them continue to grow this year, maybe they squeak into the playoffs, maybe they don't, but this isn't the year to go big.

Dayo is done for the season, torn achilles

Stinks - was hoping somehow he'd start to emerge more as he had more time in the system (otherwise he just looks like "JAG" and I'm sure coming back from an achilles won't make him any better).  Looks like a pretty big waste of money - but I do wish him the best in his recovery.

Ugh. He sucked, but he was at least decent against the run. Poles paid him $32 million in guaranteed money for 8 bad games basically.

The Poles special.

I understand not talking about a trade at all so it doesn’t fall through and because it isn’t official yet, but why even say that you have made a trade at all?  Jerry Jones is an oddball.

He is the last of his kind in that ownership room lol.  A true car salesman that owns a team

I really hope Poles doesn't do something stupid tomorrow. The Bears are not a Maxx Crosby away from a Super Bowl. They can not afford to give up future draft capital especially as a slightly above average team and we all know Crosby will likely fetch a 1st +. We aren't the Eagles, Chiefs or even the Lions right now. Still way too many holes to fill on this roster.

Now if you get Trey Hendrickson for lets say a 4th, then sure, I don't see the harm. Let the guy prove he's healthy and productive then in the offseason you can decide since he's a pending UFA. I'm not giving up more than that though.

He's been absolutely horrid in pass protection. He was just abused yesterday over and over

Hmmm

Who exactly is Rome Odunze?

Anyone concerned he's not looking like a true WR1 or does it not matter, as long as they're winning?
