I still believe in the Montgomery brothers.

Colson just slowed down a little to let Braden catch up, that's all.

Wolkow sure has a pretty swing.

When does Braden move up again? High A is child's play to him.

You really want to bring him up and start him in RF tomorrow in Cincy?

What's the rush?

Even Frank Thomas and Robin Ventura had to prove themselves in Birmingham first, and Ventura was arguably the most decorated player in NCAA baseball history at the time.

He’s probably better than the guys on the MLB roster.

Undoubtedly...but he still needs to go through AA first/successfully.

Then you can at least make your arguments about skipping over CHLT entirely, but give me 3-4 months of 900+ OPS play at Birmingham and I'll probably agree with you.

Sure. but why rush him?  Let him learn on an intelligent time line.

Potentially dumb thought - if Colson has a hot 3-4 weeks or so, do you just move him to Chicago while his confidence is high and swing is good, even if overall season numbers still are poor? Strike while the iron is hot, so to speak?

Next episode of Sox top prospects on Comcast is out.  Wolkow is so easy to root for.

I hope he stopped talking about the Hall of Fame.

I think that's the plan. They practically said as much when he went to AZ. It's what I would do.

Agreed. If he gets everything straight, bring him up to see how he adjusts.

Yep that would be a good idea. If he can have a good 3 weeks or so and his swing is consistently good with lower Ks, bring him up and put him at SS to evaluate how long he can stick there.

Love it too.

I feel the same way with Braden just because the game in general feels different now.  The usual seasoning process over many years…not sure that’s the way if an offensive player is torching levels.

If he’s not getting beat, he’s not getting beat.  Why does he need to see 2 years of AA sliders
