Great job team! Several good performances including Davis with a solid 6 innings.

When you don't make easy outs, more often than not you can if nothing else put some pressure on the other team. We have guys that give quality AB finally. Need a lot more but good to see the team bounce back after the O's series.

Teel looked great, hopefully Robert can catch fire here for the next month or so

good players that don't make outs often and play premium defensive positions at least league average are invaluable imo. teel can hopefully join meidroth.

teel is another high energy red ass type. i like it. those guys suck unless they can actually play and chase and teel both look like they can play.

They get on base, it’s sorely needed. Once they get Colson up here it’s going to be really exciting finally to watch these games.

What a great crowd ! They need more Mexican Heritage Nights or whatever it was today.

It was a combination of little league night and Mexican heritage night. Crowd was nuts. Lots of fun.

I think the second half gonna be fun. Didn't '99 go the same way and then Lee and Abbott came for the second half and the team looked better?

Robert 2 for 3 with a walk,  3 RBI going back to his 2023 stance/foot lift / leg kick w/e you want to call it, which I'm pretty sure I suggested in the Robert trade value thread. Next step a monster HR so he knows he still got it .

People are still stuck in this fantasy Robert is going to bring some value being traded.

There are not many clueless GMs left.  Sox might have taken the last one.

You forget Getz is doing the trading. I guess the goal would be to have as many players making the minimum as possible.

Ha! Tonight role reversal. The Royals looked like the chumps. That wild throw to first. That error by the infielder. And the clutch hits of Robert and Teel. I'll give the Sox credit. I'll never support losing one game much less tanking but I do love me some Teel, Meidroth, Robert (if he'd get his head right and frickin hit), Quero and Beni. Also Tauchmann deserves my support. He's hitterish and making Getz look good.

Poor Royals. We get even with 'em this weekend.

Didn't Petey Rose once say good hitters adjust their stance/approach all the time? If Robert did that, nice.

A 4 tool guy instead of just a 2 tool ( speed/base running and defense) is still immensely valuable.

Robert still has a lot of power. He just needs to show it.  A good 6 to 8 week hot streak, while implausible given how he's preformed since returning from his injury last year, is not impossible. He'll never be great contact hitter or a high OBP guy but he could get a lot closer to the La Pantera skills he usually displayed when healthy.

The hitter he's been since June of last year could be a guy who's lost his mental edge afraid to be aggressive because of all the injuries. It doesn't show up in his speed or defense, the things that come more natural to him ,but hitting isn't something that comes naturally to many hitters. It takes a lot of discipline and mental toughness because all hitters have weaknesses that pitchers attack. Your job is to punish the mistakes if you can last long enough in at bats to recognize them. And recognizing them isn't as easy as it sounds especially with aggressive hitters who grew up with the "hitting their way off the island "   or " you can't walk off the island " approach so common in poor Latin American. countries.

It's a fine line for a free swinger to alter his approach in such a dramatic way.

Even the Most valuable version of Robert in 2023 only had an OBP of .315 but that guy at least had a .542 slugging .Sure his walk rate now is better than it's ever been which shows he's trying to change his approach but maybe he just can't be a guy who walks a lot and still be a feared power hitter.

The whole “Getz is bad at trading” is kind of losing its luster.

Not defending but the Crochet trade looking very good. The Cease one meh. I hope Thorpe can be a serviceable pitcher

Am i wrong for wanting Mike Tauchman to be around next year with the young core? Mike is a good ball player if used correctly

I wouldn't hate it at all. Gives you great at bats, and who knows what your outfield looks like next year, so having a steady hand in right would be nice.
