The thing is...baseball itself is still quite homophobic and it's largely a sport dominated by a number of conservative Gen X and Baby Boomers on both the fan and administration side. He should be more critical of divorce, the New Testament and Jesus specifically is much more clear about that. These Christians should try to act more like Jesus, frankly. He doesn't like gay people for whatever reason. Social expectations. Scripture has very little to do with it.
