so it must be the atmosphere that draw people and not so much the team?

I lived in Denver briefly.  If it weren't for the mountains, it'd be Kansas.  Nothing else to do but the outdoors and the local teams.  EDIT: the turnout is impressive.

There are worse starting pitchers in baseball than Cannon, plenty of them. This isn't a 16 team league any more.

Call up Lee and carry 3 catchers so Teel and Quero can play (hit) everyday at least.

was just talking about that last night with my buddy watching the game over at his place on the 4th. Sleepy town really.

Taylor crushed that s%*#

Taylor has some sneaky power. He's been a good free agent addition.

Taylor massacred that pitch.

Look at MAT. He is the Luis Robert now.

And everything seems cowboy themed. I was only there 2 or 3 times, but it felt like if the City of Chicago put gangster insignia on every bridge and street corner.

They said the distance on the MAT HR was 460?  Is that right or just John making stuff up?

Sosa has had 3 barrels tonight, future DH?

He's got a future somewhere if the bat stays legit. He's now comfortable at this level.

Look man, even everyone else starts legalizing weed you've gotta figure something out.

It took the Sox 123 games to win 30 last year.

Yes. Don't care for old stadiums

That 24-game losing streak didn't help.

Fitting way to end the game with a smooth pick at SS by Montgomery.

No better town for breweries.

Alright.  The Rockies have won the Battle for the Basement.  Good job by the Sox.  I won't expect the pitching to do this well in big jams going forward, however.  I'm really enjoying watching Montgomery so far.

Most fans the last two nights have showed up more for the fireworks show after the game which I have heard is pretty impressive.

13.2 IP and 2 ER from your starters in two games at Coors is pretty good.

I almost don't want to type this, but only 1 HR allowed in 18 IP, too.
