So do you think he forgot how to do it or something?

More of inexperienced and other gms trying to take advantage of him. Those trade last yeart didn't get much value back.  Honestly probably got hosed with the 3 team deal. Maybe he gets better and respect

You think the league is colluding to not value Sox players and only send Getz s%*# offers?

You can't always excuse a trade or non-trade with the idea that you didn't know the other offers out there. If that's the case, why even come comment here at all?

Not colluding but reports are that at least one team valued civale more than Houser. May all the teams are looking at his bad K/bb ratio and other stats and think he isnt as good.

During trade time we tend to over value our own players.

Would you rather be mad at a light return or mad that the trade wasnt made?

As far as Civale goes, I'm not convinced any contender would care to even claim him on the waiver wire.

No, not with the money remaining on his contract.  I assume most people are just assuming the Sox would pick some/most of it up since they will be paying it anyways if he stays here.

Getzpology is real, dude.

So would you rather be mad at a light return or mad that a trade isnt made.

Irrationality is real.

I find it hard to believe Houser doesn't go.

They scratched him from his start. It'd be weird if they didn't trade him.

Mad that the trade wasn’t made, and not even accepting a light offer.  Houser and Civale do nothing important for this team the rest of the way.  The Sox already have bums that can eat their innings.  Why is this so difficult to understand?

Its not collusion.  If Houser is like the 6th most desirable SP on the market and 1-2 SPs have been moved, what is he supposed to do?  Force the other teams to want Houser over Gore?

You sell them for the best offer regardless.  Something is better than nothing and the Sox already have guys that can eat innings.  They will both be free agents after this season.  If Getz wants either guy back, he can offer them a contract in the offseason.

I'm sure you'd be real forgiving if he just started giving guys away.

I won’t be mad at a light return.  It’s better than nothing at all.  Houser and Civale are gone after this season.  What are you not understanding?

Kopech twice on the 60-day IL this year, Fedde released, Pham released, Edman with some playoff heroics but immediately became pricey free agent. Meanwhile Sox got a 25 year old every day starter in Vargas and the two minor league infielders received by the Sox remain potential future contributors (far from certain, of course). Don't think 2024's three-way trade looks so bad a year later.

That's the key. He should be worth. Bit what are the offers?

It's sort of on the GM to identify less heralded guys in other systems who are being undervalued and could fit the bill for these smaller trades.  If nothing comes together that's sort of on him too.

Yup, would suggest that Getz completely botched his trade market as you don’t scratch a guy you intend to sell

Well, we will know in 30 mins.

Yes, its on hom. Its his job to determine if the return is worth the trade.

Just because a bunch of people on a posting board want it done doesn't mean its always the right thing.

The jury is still out on Getz. Well know on a couple of years.
