I'm not defending the pitch but Chase did a really poor job getting out of the way. He has the pad on his arm that's where he needs to be getting hit, that or in the back. 

X rays negative for Meidroth. Maybe just a few days thing.

Not sure what Vasil's long term is with the Sox, but he is an incredibly likeable player. I hope he's around for a while.
