Top of the order, bottom of the 9th, and the closer isn’t used?  Cmon. I get going by the gut but that’s an incredibly easy decision both by analytics and feel of the game. 
 

Oh well, good series. 

It kinda sucks we don't have anybody better down on the farm for the bullpen, even in a rebuilding period.

Sucks they blew it. A lot of the hits were bullshit. Still took another series on the road.

Yeah I have a hard time believing he was available. He would have been used at some point if so. 

trying to think...if Taylor is either unavailable or being held for a save situation, who else is available? Owen White joined the team today so not sure of his availability (and I don't think I want him to pitch even with platoon advantage). Then you have Gilbert. Leasure just went back to back so he's out. And I think everybody else pitched already

Yeah, I’m usually not one to second guess decisions like that, but I don’t understand it. I said “What are we doing here?” as soon he he brought him. Even if he gets the lefty out, he has to face Trout/Ward. Does Alexander have decent splits against righties perhaps? I don’t get it.

In Will's defnse, if taylor wasn't available, he had no options. I bet they planned to use vasil in the 7th and 8th but obviously he was needed ealier.

Yep. Benny hit one 400ft but to the wrong part of the park. Sosa also missed one by a foot or two, couple hard liners from Teel and Luis, etc.
