can't win em all. this seems like a 'good team' kind of loss if that makes sense.

Yep, just a normal routine loss. Kinda fun how un-routine it feels to not come back and win again honestly.

Get after it tomorrow with hopefully a more competent ump behind the plate.

Well, good for Houser. Now he can go off and win out for the rest of the season, then get himself a big, fat contract in free agency. Now, let's get after these Rays, and win tomorrow. Looks like a TBD start for us, maybe they call up Burke for the game, or go bullpen. Burke just had a nice game last Wednesday. Smith Wednesday.

If the Sox sign a starting pitcher to a legit contract this offseason, he’s my pick for who they’d go after.  I hope they don’t consider Perez for 10 million

He's your pick or do you mean that as you think that's who they would go after, because I would be surprised if you were advocating to sign Houser to a legit SP contract this offseason. He was good here, but has an ERA pushing 5 since he got traded and will be 33 heading into next season. I would HATE to see them sign him to a legit contract and can't possibly see that working out.

They must have a deal to trade him to a contender for the final 17 games or whatever.

SD...with Adam out, Philly, NYY, Mets, Seattle, he will get traded based on the "wow factor" behind that single pitch last night that had so much movement bearing in on RH batters.

Otherwise is jus takes about zero sense.

Would much rather have him than Wilson's misleading numbers.

White Sox have 40 lose from ahead games already this year.  That's second in all of baseball to the .500ish DBacks (43).

They can't "trade" him. Altavilla has had a lot of BABIP luck. His FIP is up over 5.00

These DFA arguments are funny, because most people think about 7 people should be DFAed from the bullpen, but each individual DFA is "stupid" because there's 6 other guys who could have gone first.

I guess it doesn't really matter since he'll be a free agent soon anyway, and they probably don't plan on bringing him back on anything more than an MiLB deal.

He is 33 years old, but still isn't eligible for free agency for basically another full season.
