Unlike the Booser trade where they stupidly gave up a live arm for a bum, I don’t care about this one since I don’t think Hernandez does anything. But Murphy’s ERA this past season was purely reliever small sample size luck.  K rate wasn’t good for a reliever and he had a high walk rate.

I think you nailed it, but Murphy’s age versus Booser’s and what Getz gave up for Booser makes this move much less bad.
