I love watching your opinion of players eb and weave with Getz moves.

Month ago Tauch was a part of a 70 win team next year but since Getz nontendered him he must be cooked.

I thought Booser was a good pickup, and he turned out to not be. A player not living up to expectations doesn't really change my worldview. I thought Hill would be expendable, turns out, the Sox are keeping him as insurance. Wow, I guess I must turn on Chris Getz and start calling for his firing, huh? LOL.

Tauchman - I didn't think he was part of next year's team. The clear reasoning behind not trading him at the deadline has been talked to death. No real mystery there. He had one year of control left. Big deal.

I haven't changed any opinions on players, I didn't say the Sox would be a 70 win team next year that Tauchman would be an integral part of. Not sure how my opinions have "eb and weave"ed. Please, make it make sense.

I know in MLB $900,000 is close to the minimum. But it's still an overpay for Derek Hill.

Billy Hamilton didn't die without me noticing did he?

I like good defense. Good defense helps make good pitching. Defense first "up the middle". Bat first in corner positions both infield and outfield. I mean ya gotta SOME runs don't ya?

He’s still hanging around. I think he signed with the Cubs at some point last season.

He barely played for them. He's pretty much been in the Mexican league last two seasons.

You have to score at least one run to win a game.

You're subtracting Robert, for one.

Murray and Hill and Pereira (especially in CF) don't project as close to league average hitters for their positions.  Pereira ultimately  belongs on a corner as he adds weight.

Realistically, who the heck is Murray going to start over?

Chase Meidroth was one of the few average to slightly above average defenders.  And Antonacci likely profiles at second.

Take out Sosa/Vargas and that offense is borderline unwatchable until Braden comes up at midseason.

Pal you literally said in a post one month ago that he was a part of your vision if a 70+ win team next year.

In an OPP, I said that I think the Sox should get Denzel Clark from Oakland. Put him in CF. And move Robert to RF

The problem there is the bulk of Robert's value comes from playing GG defense in CF at this point...

Oakland might just want to hold onto the cheaper Clark after moving on from JJ Bleday.

@Look at Ray Ray Run is taking that belt to ass lately.  You better slow down on owning everyone.  🤣

The funny thing is by touting how Hill Pereira and Murray are so strong defensively...doesn't that also make you wonder why the Sox internally havent been able to draft/identify, coach up or prioritze defense over the years?

Most famously, Semien and Narvaez both had to first leave the organization to reach their full potential on that side of the ball.

You definitely don't want to attract unwanted attention.

Weird when a dude pulls his own pants down and whips himself. He's pretending he gets to make words mean anything he wants.

Ok guys the metaphors are a bit much

Vision? The team literally played at a 70 win pace from the ASB on. I said that if they ran back the same guys and they produced the same, Liptak said they'd be worse. How is that laying out a "vision" that Tauchman is an integral part of next year's 70-win team? Make it make sense!! Maybe explain it to me like I'm 5.

Take the L and move on.

Unfortunately their bats are awful and will probably nullify their defensive skills.

Hill probably hits about as well as Michael A. Taylor. Murray most likely hits better than Jacob Amaya. Pereira probably gets a real shot to start, or at least platoon.

I think Pereira is most likely a platoon bat in right. Who knows if he’ll hit even a little? Hill is no Michael A. Taylor. .200 is an impossible dream for him. I hope they get a lefty swinger who can play some outfield, otherwise Braden will be up no later than May 1. Personally, I am tired of them stocking the team in April with waiver wire fodder, going double digits under .500 and then playing out the string for 5 months. I would love it if they thought coming into the year that they would play close to .500 in April. I do not believe that will be a priority.

Certainly not this year.

To expect Pereira to reproduce Tauchman's first 4 months is just not realistic.

I knew Michael A. Taylor.  Hill is not and never should be considered a major league starter... any more than one would want Fletcher patrolling CF.

Better defense, ofc, but might as well be Brian Simmons in his "dream" offensive life.

For when Robert gets hurt again. They have no legit CF option. $900K is nothing.

The problem is that Hill isn’t a legit major leaguer.  🤣
