At least with the day off tomorrow, these relievers should be rested enough to get lit up again.

Dead arm period.

4-year stretch of awful baseball period.

This was just flat out embarrassing.

Reminds me of opening day 1970. (Look it up kids...)

Just plain bad. 20 strike outs.

This team will only go so far as the pitching lets them.

There’s no sugarcoating that game.

And to top it off starks got ejected.

I have a gift. You should hear me call a basketball game.

Well, the Brewers finally won their World Series. Softens the blow of being the Dodgers' chew toy.

Game absolutely sucked, but I sure did miss Gamethreads....161 more.

You lost me on this one. 🤕

"Because there’s what progress looks like as Getz and Venable describe it, and then there’s progress in the only way that matters to most people — winning a bunch more games. A major league season is often described by those on the inside as a “marathon,” but it’s Sox fans who know better than anybody what that actually feels like. They’re the ones who’ve been stranded by the side of the road, doubled over and gasping for breaths of any sort of optimism that might power them through another full journey."

Also Stockholm Syndrome because damnit I still love the White Sox.

20 strikeouts is an opening day MLB record.

Getz still setting records…

Sounds a lot like Soxtalk...

if it's any consolation, my train ride home was packed with cubs "fans" who left after the 4th inning.

It’s not. They’ll probably still make the playoffs. We are hoping to avoid yet another 100+ loss season.

yeah, it wasn't for me either. I wanted to sit down.

The one "bright" spot is helping the Brewers is actively hurting the Cubs, so at least my inner-Machiavellian is happy.
