This is true. He was a top 35 prospect for the Padres back in 2019. Coincidentally, his rookie season in 2019 with the Padres was his last good season. Injuries have derailed his career.

Nah, he just never developed a third pitch. His change up was ++ when he came up, he fooled the league, and then never could develop something else. People now just sit on his flat fastball and tee off.
