No, McGuire. Drive a hard deal and get a prospect as well because it looks like BJays need two catchers.

The streak has been broken!! My son and I had a blast. Great game for my son to see with Murakami and Colson both going deep. And he got a ball. Glad I pulled the trigger last minute.

Anyone notice that certain people only come to game threads the Sox are losing to rub salt in the wounds and tell us how everyone sucks ?

A couple things: One, I think Acuna should be the centerfielder, all the time, every time he plays. It would be easier for him to learn the position and give him a feeling of confidence knowing he's t

Blue Jays talking to the Sox about Quero now?

or McGuire.

Sounds like they played pretty well today overall.

Error didn't cost them and the bullpen did OK generally today.

Had to do some work and missed the last couple innings. Looks like another EZ win for the AL Central frontrunner

Lucky for them there are so many opportunities

Right around 90 give or take a few.

Nice to take the first 2 at home and both savages went yard. Vargas has been good too.

When Schultz comes up and if they could sign Gio this wouldn't be a bad club.

If Montgomery accesses his power in the first half of the season with Mury, all bets are off if pitching arrived. But it’s asking a lot for rookies to pitch in the big leagues

Injury to Kirk possibly cost the BJays both games with critical errors by Tyler Heinenman.

Kirk suffered a dislocated and fractured thumb so he will be out for a while.

So BJays probably need two catchers. Reese McGuire is available, Call Getzy.

You could be right. WAR does its best to calculate the impact of someone like Kirk out of the lineup vs. his replacement playing but yikes , 2 bad throws that cost 3 runs and a bad baserunning play getting gunned out at 3rd with Vladdy on deck and 2 outs is sad. He had to have picked up -.2 or -.3 WAR in less than 2 games .

or let them overpay for Quero+Reese/Korey

I really didn't have a problem with Kay. If he could get through 5 against teams like the Blue Jays just giving up a couple, that gets the job done. He was getting hit hard a bunch, tho. If this is who Vargas is, that trade was an absolute steal. Nice series win. The Sox always play the Jays tough, but this is a sweet surprise after that opening week.

Appreciate the advice. I just bought a couple tickets in section 147. I apologize to everyone for the loss today. Haven’t witnessed a Sox win in person since before Covid.

watching Vargas at-bats is so different compared to everyone else in the lineup. Only Mune and Meidroth actually keep their head on the ball as it comes into the zone. watch that first double he hit today, watch his head track the ball all the way to the zone, then look at colson's ABs, head pulls off quickly, it looks like he's just guessing at where to swing/when to swing

Wow, wow, wow! That really is great for you both. I hope they turned your son into a life-long White Sox fan.

Anyone else think that with Martin going against a lefty tomorrow that you really have to like the chances of a Sox sweep.

He better pitch well because not much chance of the Sox getting any innings from Taylor or Dominguez tomorrow.

I agree with what Eddy about Kay. Giving up 2 runs in 4.1, though not great, is fine against the Jays. He gave his team a chance to win.

Also, at least for today, all the freak out negative comments about Hicks did not age well.

Feel the Momentum, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!

High wire acts generally don't age well.

Sox missed Kirk and the majority of the best Jays' pitching but still a big win psychologically.
