Because only cheap organizations that are penny pinching manipulate service time with a guy like him. Good organizations, which this wants to become, play their best guys and don't mess with development because of service time games.

Unfortunately it seems like Braden is not hitting well enough to warrant being called up.

To be fair, he's 2-9 with 5 walks and a 1.000 OPS. If his first AB tonight is a hit, suddenly he's batting .300 and is hitting well. Calling him up from AA right now would be a mistake, but it's such a small sample size. 5 Ks is troubling but 33% K rate is not the end of the world either especially when he's expected to strikeout and his MILB average was 25% last year.

What angers me is Getz/ Venable had solved it: Hays in left, Acura in center, and Peters / Pereira in right and then plug in Baldwin who was going to hit around 20 home runs this year; that was going to be a very solid outfield to get the Sox to 75 wins or so.

But now . . . ? When does Pereira get back? Beni in left? Is Hays gonna be like Tauchman last year, pretty much limping around all year, repulling that hamstring every other month? Probably.

I just said yesterday there was no reason to bring Antonacci up because there was nowhere for him to play. Well, it’s time for him to learn left field. Maybe, just maybe if he can learn it in a week?? and Periera can get quickly back and stay healthy, maybe the outfield will still be solid, but that depends on Peters and Pereira not going in the crapper with their bats.

I try so hard to stay optimistic, but it’s tough being a White Sox fan.

I too was expecting a decent year from Baldwin with 20 homers a good possibility, I’m pissed too, I don’t believe in jinxes but the Chicago White Sox are snake bitten.

I feel like this would be messing with his development because they are cheap. Why is everyone convinced he is ready TODAY? He's got like 140 AA ABs.

Antonacci will be called up to play the OF before him. Ant is going to be GOOD though. Keep him down until the Super Two "deadline" so he doesn't get the extra year of arb. Once he comes up, he's going to keep playing.

I would say that he is much closer to ready than Braden. Not sure I see the need to rush him either, but I would rather see Ant than Braden now. Let these guys force the issue. This is a lost year, let them earn their way in, instead of jacking around with them.

Front offices aren’t making decisions in the present based on assumptions of what could potentially change in the next CBA. They will continue to manage their teams under the current rules.

He should consider being a strictly right handed hitter full time, 3) I find it odd that Lucas Giolito has not signed with anybody. Is he hurt? 4) I can't comprehend why Taylor is starting games and pitching the first inning. If he was in the bullpen they might of won yesterdays game by bringing him in the late innings.

Gio has had severe injury issues the last few years.
