Wait, I thought somebody said the Sox lost the DH. What was that about?

  • Not a bad loss in my book. The young slugging core had great games at the dish. Some old guys who suck gave up a bunch of runs. Okay.

This entire bullpen sans Taylor are just immeasurably painful to watch.

Nice recovery for the DP there

Mune now at .256 / 1.026.

The ball just jumps off Murakami's bat. As the weather gets hot he is going to rake even more.

Back to back 3 hit games

One more biscuit for breakfast, Colson.

Care? I haven't cared in a long time.

You don't have to care. It's simply dumb, not optimal, and disrespectful to a kid whose earned his name written in dirt behind ss. As I said. No other team would do it.

You obviously care or you are a generally unhappy person to think you are the end all be all of how a MLB franchise should be run and that you have all the answers.

You are here ripping on people who in general just enjoy Sox baseball and provide valuable insight and information to our fanbase. They are not disenchanted with most things White Sox as you seem to be while claiming you don't care. If you didnt care you'd just go root for another team that you feel make all the right moves . Or you just shut up because people who dont care tune out which you arent doing. You seem to enjoy taking potshots at an organization you don't care about and doing the same to people here who are generally content with how the team is progressing considering the owner decided to do the bare minmum as he prepares to sell the team.

Everyone else is dumb or a sheep or water carrier if they dont agree with you.

Sucks that Kay didn't have much today. Offense came to play and there's probably different pen arms in the game with a different score. Maybe should have walked Ildemaro the second time lol

Chase Field looks so nice with the roof open, it's a shame all the retractable stadiums just end up being closed more often than not. Pretty sure the broadcast said it will be closed tomorrow so we'll see which of the streaks can keep going.

Soroka's had a good year, won't be an easy matchup. Only 1 HR allowed in 3 home starts, but lefties are hitting .293 against him.

I can't understand why his family and friends now tell him they don't follow baseball anymore.

Seems to me this AZ lineup is pretty tough on lefties but suddenly it feels like that's all we've got. But maybe they're just tough on everybody

Might be my new team dependent on how the Sox deal with the deadline. I live in their area.

I'm tired how this organization is. The talk among fans is always about trading to make Birmingham better. We are not use to having nice things. Every successful player the Sox have doesn't take but 3 seconds about trading them. The D'Backs make far more effort to keep their players. They are underdogs in a tough division.

I'm not too far from cashing out on the Sox. They continue to recycle the habitual losing small market blueprint that has only worked for 2 teams and only the Brewers really have done that the best.

Rays Guardians Brewers

Tigers sort of

Will be funny if tomorrow is like a 4-2 game with the roof closed lol, I'm sure someone somewhere tracks stadium open/closed splits.

Having an opinion is not the same as caring.

It's honestly fascinating how taking non controversial positions (like if you have one of the the best shortstops in baseball, he should play shortstop) here at soxtalk lead to the same 3-4 people defending the stupidity and talking about how unhappy you must be for not supporting clearly dumb choices. As stated earlier, if Getz and Veneable started batting Mune and Colson 8-9, the same few posters would be defending it for lineup flexibility... no matter how clearly wrong something is, some will justify and defend.... and then victimize.

11 runs on 16 hits is not a bad loss? Regardless of who is on the hill, it was a bad loss. Maybe the Sox need cooler weather..........................................

The state of the young pitching in this org remains troubling

And even worse, we won't even run the successful small team models. We aren't taking advantage of trades to get truly young guys with seven years of effective control, we are dealing for post hype guys with 4 to 5 years. We aren't employing large amounts of scouts in the amatuer realm. We have quick existing in Cuba, and basically don't exist in the Far East outside of a single free agent signing in the last generation. Every cheaper line for talent, we are too cheap to invest in.
